“Having TEGFCU Beekman branch in our neighborhood is fantastic. There are times I am just needing to run in for some handy cash and then there are times I need special assistance with a banking issue and the Manager Chris is there to help out. Along with Siera and Miranda. They have truly been a lifesaver. It is always a pleasure to stop in and see their smiling faces and to chit chat a bit. “This is a small hometown bank with a very local feel to it. Everyone there has always been very helpful to me in many ways. I'm not sure where the anger comes from in other posts, but I've never had a problem with their computers, and I don't use Zelle, Venmo, etc., and I maintain my account balances so that I do not need to use 'overdraft' or bounce checks. I simply enter the bank, deposit checks or withdraw cash, take my receipt and a lollipop, the teller smiles and says 'thank you and have a good day'. The end. No 'drama', no problems. And if I ever attempted to cash a check and a bank teller told me it was not cashable or valid, and it was even their own check, as someone described, that would be a clear indicator to me that the check was no good. No, they are not going to divulge information about someone elses accounts. My beef would not be with the bank, but with the issuer of the check. If you're looking for a lot of banking 'bells and whistles', this is not the bank for you-I suggest that you go to a major global bank and deal with them and their multitude of requirements, and where they have no mercy or time for personal issues or problems. The Bank of Millbrook is a great small banking institution with deep roots in our community, where they do a lot of good that goes beyond what could ever be expected from a bank of any type, anywhere. I greatly appreciate their strong and stable presence in our Millbrook community.”
