This location has some of the worst service. Be mindful if you purchase alcohol here, I bought a 12pk and it was moldy, 6 cans were empty and the other 6 all had mold. It shouldn’t have been on the shelf in the first place and there was no recourse, they wouldn’t help me at all. I get alcohol is final sale, but come on..

The pharmacy at the Dover Plains (Store #5055) CVS is the worst I have ever experienced. I am a loyal CVS customer. This particular store is closest to my elderly parents home and it is terrible. Prescriptions not ready, rude staff (including the pharmacist!), unnecessary waiting. Ridiculous! I am in the process of transferring their prescriptions to my local CVS in Pawling which is amazing! It is a shame that seniors in that area are forced to drive out of their way because of the ineptitude of their local CVS pharmacy in Dover Plains. That pharmacy needs an overhaul. I met a woman yesterday who complained that she drives to another pharmacy much farther away to avoid going to CVS in Dover. Totally unacceptable.

This place sucks but Ashley is awesome! If by some stroke of luck you get to have her wait on you you'll leave satisfied. She spent a half an hour on the phone with insurance to help me not have to pay 100 bucks for my scripts. It ended with me having to pay but I super appreciated her help and whatever she gets paid isn't enough.

They never picked up phone call. They are understaffed so communication and services are super terrible! They can let you wait for a week or more for an auto-refill prescription without telling you anything. And they can let you wait in the store for 30-40 mins and then tell you the medication is out of stock and you need to come tomorrow again with uncertainty. They deserve 1 star ratings. They should be closed. Why do they run like this to have people's health risked?

Awful experience, a woman name Karen incredibly rude… asked to help me and when she did, I said yeah you finally stopped talking line have to help somebody and she said you know what I clocked out half an hour ago. Screw you. I asked her why she asked to help me if she’s off the clock and if it’s OK that CVS left her hanging up on the counter on off hours….. I’ll be complaining to the CVS complaint line and asking them if it’s OK for employees to do that at the pharmacy with controlled substances….the guy named Jason is inefficient and yammers on to customers while there’s a huge line waiting, the new pharmacist, Emmanuel hides behind the counter and doesn’t manage his out of control staff. Total nightmare drive to Pleasant Valley instead. Definitely going to fill out the complaint form for CVS pharmacy and call CVS. Complaint line about this horrendous experience. Look at all the ratings.

Avoid this pharmacy at literally all costs. I would rather drive an hour in the opposite direction than go here one more time. According to the CVS app my prescription was going to be ready the day prior at 12:30. When I showed up 24+ after that, I waited in line for 30 minutes for them to tell me that the script was not even ready. I told them to cancel it and I would figure something else out in order to avoid returning. I tried to call in advance but was never able to get in touch with anyone as no one picks up the phone at the pharmacy. Truly the most brutal experience I have ever had.

On hold for 25 minutes and still waiting to check on a prescription. Unacceptable! Changing to Walgreens

The pharmacy is terrible after 6 days of my prescriptions being in process I tried calling to find out what was going on . After 30 minutes of being on hold I drove to the pharmacy only to find a long line no phones bring answered at all. So I waited in line and told them my name and they said my prescription was in process I told them it's been 6 days she then proceeded to print the prescriptions and put them In a basket and said now they are in production. CVS had cut hours at the cost of our health not acceptable my insurance only goes through CVS so I guess I'm stuck next stop New York consumer affairs . Oh just so you know this isn't the first time this has happened

I don't understand how this overpriced chain of stores are still in business. The pharmacy is short staffed and it takes forever to get scripts filled.

Getting prescriptions filled in a timely manner while keeping the person needing the prescriptions should be a priority. Unfortunately, the pharmacist picks n chooses when n who's prescriptions get filled. This has to be the most incompetent pharmacy location any imbecile can be employed at. Not every patient is a narcotic patient and they need to learn how to treat PEOPLE! First off let me just say that the short female pharmacist is the rudest, classless thing I've ever had the disgust of coming across. She really thinks she is above the intelligence of a doctor. She's lazy & rude AF! I needed an antibiotic and went to my doctors office in the afternoon. Upon getting to CVS she tells me the script would be ready in an hour. I had strep and needed my medication. She tells me my script will be ready in an hour. I get to the pharmacy 50 minutes later to pick up the script and the pharmacy had closed half hour before I got there. She's a real piece of #%*t

After ordering a refill for my psych meds an unexpected passing in my family occurred, which then forced me to leave the country to attend the services. I however, was unable to pick up my prescription due to it sitting for multiple days in limbo. After calling multiple times and going in person, I was treated as if I didn't need my psychotic meds. Now, because of this, I am in another country dealing with a close relatives death and no medication. If I could give the pharmacy in Dover Plains, New York, a lower rating, they don't even deserve one star. Please no one go here!

My parents recently moved to that area. What a huge difference between Dover Plains and other area CVS pharmacy staffers who are generally wonderful (especially in Pawling)! The pharmacy staff in Dover Plains are abrupt, unfriendly and rude! They absolutely need customer service training!

The staff has no knowledge on how to properly manage prescriptions. Very incompetent. After 2 days of calling for a Rx coverage for my dad’s pregabalin, they had no idea how to process it. I had to call the MD office few times due to pharmacy staff’s incompetence. The doctors office did everything correctly on time, the staff has no knowledge on how to procees orders correctly. They mistreat the poor elderly patients that come to that pharmacy. The male technician that worked in the pharmacy on 11/12/21 needs to be fired and the female pharmacist that worked took zero responsibility as the supervisor for the pharmacy. She refused to speak to me or come up with an alternate solution for the Rx coverage. She was hiding behind the technician. It is sad that they treat people this way since they know that it is the only pharmacy in that small town. This staff needs to be investigated for their lack of care for their patients.

A pharmacy technician took my call for refills of cardiac medications but weirdly became infuriated, supposedly because the refills should have been requested earlier in her wacko opinion. While I tried to explain that I had just run out, but needed them now, she interrupted me and loudly became verbally abusive. She refused to call the doctor for refills (a routine procedure)and also refused to sell me a few pills while I was going to have to wait to have a new prescription called in (also a routine procedure for cardiac meds). She was yelling- literally out of control with anger. I have never asked for medications to be filled early or done any other “ unacceptable” behaviors. Her uncontrolled and frankly hugely unprofessional behavior was upsetting and inexcusable. I am DONE with CVS pharmacy and would like to see this person fired.
