Get lots of great deals here and for the people complaining how much do you think you're going to get for used clothing exactly you're lucky to get more than nothing for it. They have to mark up what they buy from you otherwise they won't be making a profit common sense here.

While my daughter has found a few decent deals here, I second the reviews that say the times they take in clothing to buy are random and you never get a fair price for anything. We took in a bag of clothes this past Sunday at 4pm. We checked ahead of time they were taking in items and their Facebook page said yes. We get there and they said "they have reached their quota for the day" so we will have to pick it up on Sunday. We had plans Sunday and could not come back then so they said to come in on Monday. I arranged my day and drove 40 minutes to get there Monday at 2pm only to see a paper sign on the door that they are closed for staff training. Unreal. They have no respect for customer's time at all. I can't wait until I go back to pick up the full bag of nice, clean, designer clothes and walk away with $2. Never again. I am going to stick with selling on ebay and donating to Goodwill. Ridiculous business model and no respect for customers at all. No bathroom there either which is MADNESS if you would like someone to stay for awhile and shop.

Continually changing the rules & willingness for clothing acceptance DURING the actual hours YOU have DESIGNATED does not fare well for community perception of your business. Unhappy one too many times here.

as an ex platos closet employee platos closet is a horrible and unprofessional establishment. They pay very low for very high end pieces of clothing and ridiculously highmarkups on pieces of clothing such as 45$ lululemon leggings that they will buy for 5-10$ then mark up and sell for 20$. the store is very unsanitary such as lint and dust that is never vacuumed from under that pants section or corners of the store, and me and some of my coworkers even found underwear, diapers, and bras in hoddies that where newly hung up. The working conditions are terrible i worked 7hr shift with no break as a 15 yearold. The owner pressures all workers not to use the bathrooms and said even during a 7 hr shift they shouldnt go more then 2 times. The boss Lauren Andres is highly unprofessional while working there i heard her talk about her employees to other staff saying they “didnt do enough” or “they where too lazy”. she also highly paranoid and accuses people of saying things behind her back with no proof or discussion.

Poor customer service over price clothing I found more at the good will in better condition for way less.the kids at the counter was very nasty to me when I asked questions about bigger sizes she told me that they don't except fat people clothing. So I'm done with that place...

Plato's just expanded their space. They have alot of nice, "gently used" articles of clothing for young adults. I went with my daughter and browsed around while she shopped. They are very organized, and the employees are very personable. Give them a try, you may be impressed by the bargains you find!?

I stopped into Plato’s today to look around and I had my very energetic 2 year old with me and the staff was absolutely amazing. A lot of retail workers get annoyed with kids running around but every single girl didn’t seem to mind him. It’s super hard to shop with a toddler but all the girls were just so sweet and it truly made my experience 100% better. Thank you all so much!!

I came all the way from Canada. Online shows it’s open. Once I got there, there was a note on the door saying they’re closed for a week. Why wasn’t this posted online?

My daughter took in numerous name brand, gently and never worn clothing items only to get $20.00. I understand that they need to make money, but that is unethical. For instance, one pair of jeans new, were $125.00. This is why I am so upset with this business. Do everyone a favor and donate these kinds of things to Amvets where the money goes where it should.

You could bring in 100 new articles of clothing barely worn and they’ll give you maybe 8 bucks. And the workers are all young teenagers who pick and choose what they like/don’t like. Better off selling your stuff online

Went out of my way to come here but not first without looking online for your hours. Arrived to a dark store with an “open” sign on it. Update your website!!

We have visited several Platos Closet 's location over the years and my experiences have been positive. However, we visited the East Amherst location for the first time today. It was a very uncomfortable & unwelcoming experience with Racist staff . The tall slim girl with long hair that was on the floor putting items back, seemed irritated by our very presence in the store the entire time. It was difficult for us to get any help from her. We felt like because of race, our kind wasn't welcomed there. We left without purchasing anything and won't be visiting this location again. The girls at the West Seneca location are very friendly, helpful and welcoming...my favorite Plato's Closet location.
