Last year, I responded to a Citizens Bank postcard promo to open a new checking account w/ direct deposit for a $300 bonus and an additional 300 if a savings account was opened the same day with additional deposits. My direct deposit was social security, which only deposits on their schedule. It turned out to deposit several days after Citizens Bank requirement of 60 days had passed, so Citizens disqualified me from receiving the bonus. On top of that choice bit of customer service, I was denied the savings account bonus as well. Not what I call a positive experience and now gladly taking my business elsewhere. Made several calls to the branch manager and not once received a return call. Eventually, had to go into the branch to talk with management, but Citizens Bank never made good on the promotion.

Needed to withdraw cash to pay a contractor. Wrote a check to myself (from a different bank account) so I could withdraw the cash at citizens as I maintain an account there for the sole purpose of withdrawing cash. I was told my check would clear Friday, then Monday, then Tuesday, and finally, TWO WEEKS LATER. They thought the check was fraudulent and asked who wrote it, LOL. I called a number they gave me for their fraud department, which got me nowhere, and finally I had to set up a conference call between my other bank and citizens so that citizens could see if the check was legitimate. After visiting three branches that day, they told me I would have to come back in because they couldn’t do jack over the phone. When my check finally does clear in a couple weeks, I’ll be withdrawing the rest of my money and closing this account for good. Citizens bank has been almost worthless to me for about 11 years and this has been the final straw. You guys will be extinct soon, good luck!

Very slow. Short on employees. Had to wait 30 minutes to be taken. This is not the norm,thank heavens!

This is one of the best Citizen's Banks that I know. Even with what the other banks calla limited staff, they kept everything moving really well. It is clean and speedy whether you choose to come inside or drive through. There is easy street parking, also a parking lot dedicated just to the bank and also a drive through. The gentleman who took care of me was super friendly and easily multi tasked the drive through and walk in all while making each customer feel special.

Always takes way way to long to make a deposit. Banking with Citizens has become a hassle and an inconvenience. Chime is so much better!!
