I was weary getting a rental as all my previous experiences with other Rental car companies have been poor. This was flawless. I went to the main entrance and worked with (Maria?). She was so kind and helpful. She took me to the area that had the cars I was eligible for and let me pick the one I wanted. The car was clean and almost brand new. She did mention that they do not have a phone, but to email them if I had any questions. Drop off was VERY smooth. Rolled up and they took care of me right away. Great experience.

Worst rental car experience. Shuttle didn't pick up for 30 minutes, along with 20 other people, had to Uber. Got there to be told they DON'T pick up at terminal A, even though we were waiting by the "National" sign and the email had instructions for terminal A. 20 or so others were waiting with us and equally confused. Got there and insisted to the manager that he credit us for the amount spent on Uber. After that, though, he turned around to tell the next person that he doesn't work for National! This place is the worst; wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I reserved a car with National car rental #15533316593 for 10 days. 4/13/22-4/23/2 to pick up at Jacksonville airport and return to Sarasota. The amount of rental was $358.93. We picked car out of Emerald Isle as directed. When we proceeded to check car out the attendant stated that we could not use emerald account due to reservation not being made by me. I was an authorized driver. They had us make a new reservation #354054116 that changed the price of rental to $1054.23. We had no choice to take vehicle as it was Easter week and cars were limited. On 4/21/22 while in Sarasota I noticed that they mistakenly had me returning car to Jacksonville and not Sarasota. I called and spoke to a representative who changed drop off to Sarasota and said that the drop off fee would be waved due to their mistake. My credit card was charged $1501.19. Not only did my rental go from $358.93 to $1054.23 but also I was charged a drop off fee for a different location. I have tried numerous times to call and have this addressed by your company to no avail. I would give a lower score if I could....

I arrived to pick up a vehicle and they only had 3 new cars the others were old and had multiple scratches and dings. I was provided a recommendation for another vehicle and it had no keys then another with no keys. I reserved a full-size and when I attempted to ask for a luxury vehicle I was met with attitude and was told "that car you need your own insurance and 850 deposit and it would be an additional $85 per day" as if I could not afford it. I am an executive elite and I own the car I was attempting to switch to (Land Rover) it is currently being shipped from overseas where I was serving the passed year. I just rented the same landrover in houston the weekend before. I have never been treated so poorly. As if I didn't have the means to secure the rental. I also saw others being allowed to get any car they choose without an issue. Hmmm was it my skin color. I was also advised by the exec elite person Ms Kim that she knows the deposit is at their discretion but they had never asked it of other renters before me. This was a 2 day rental using one of my free days. I was made to feel less then. They turned their backs to me and left the counter when I asked for an explanation and their was a lot of whispering amongst the counter staff after they left the counter. When it was tin to check out Ms. Jennifer really listened and offered me am a new Audi and said she would tell the other manager about my experience. The manager there at the time just contributed to repeat everything I said. I will never rent from there AGAIN!!! Thank you Ms Kim and Ms Jennifer for your efforts.

Had a horrible experience! They charged me $300 more for a rental car then dollar and the car was broken. When I tried to change it had to wait 3 days for a new car and then they would only refund me for 1 of the days at the airport counter,. Horrible customer service I will not rent from them again.(Now I know why there was no line at their counter and a long line at Dollar) I should have waited on the long line!!

I rent from National a lot. Like 40 cars a year. They always have good service but today they went over and above. I had an issue with a car I returned today. It was in an accident (not my fault) and an issue with the car registration. I met with the manager of the location at LaGuardia (9501 Ditmars Blvd, Queens, NY 11369) and he went above and beyond to help me. He also comped my reservation. My only regret is not getting his name so I could recognize his superior customer service

This location. Waow I have no words to explain how amazing my experience was! The service was out of this world they did everything to make sure my rental that got messed up while booking online went smoothly.The team is patient, knowledgeable and so welcoming. I got my car beautiful and clean with extra Clorox wipes! The return was also hassle free and super easy.Special thank you to the lovely lady out front, I cannot remember her name, but I think it was Cara or Cary? And Ryan who was working with her that night. Both were amazing and problem solving geniuses.I tried to call and confirm her name but the line is an automatic responder!

Car selection was very low but I was able to get a car as it hadn't been washed yet. The service was good but expect typical NY attitudes and minimal help. If you rent a car more than 30 days they won't tell you this but you are required to update the contract with your credit card etc every 30 days and if you rent from an Airport then the monthly renewal must be done at an airport also. Lots of red tape, be prepared. If you have to service your car, National does not do this on site. You have to take it to Pep Boys as they have a contract with them for warrantied cars. Make sure you check the tires and fluids as rental car companies are not doing this now due to labor shortages! I checked mine thankfully only to learn that the oil and the coolant was low! Thank God I checked and knew how to. In the end, they honored my reservation but there were some unexpected inconveniences along the way.

Service on Monday mornings is amazing. Taylor the rental agent is accommodating, energetic and honest. Mrs. Kim the lot manager is hard working, full of smiles and enjoyable to be around. They made the rental process swift and pleasing.

I thought I was at national. Ms. Kim is an excellent employee. She's helpful and a people person. If you're not sure of what type of vehicle you like she takes the time to ask you if you'll require trunk space, what do you drive at home, will have additional passengers and would you like to sit high or low. This helps to get the right vehicle for your specific needs when renting.. I think that she is very personable and wants you to be a satisfied customer... The qualities she has is rare but I truly appreciate it... Service with a smile is what I am reminded of... Kim is awesome!

I wish I could give 0 stars. TERRIBLE service,no empathy for people after a car accident. I was told by Enterprise roadside assistance and customer service to come here for an exchange for my broken vehicle, but RON, apparently the manager for Enterprise, National, AND Alamo (three companies???? How?) said that whatever the roadside assistance and customer service agents do (paper work, forms) are TOTAL TRASH (his words) and they don't know what goes down at the lots, and that he will not help me get a drivable car. I will try my best to get Enterprise's attention about this issue. I had to drive another hour in traffic with my broken car to JFK to get an exchange (they were nice). Gives me a strong strong opinion on which companies NOT to use next time I need a rental.

Surprised that this location is rated so highly. The ratings others gave this location compared to my personal experience is like night and day. We waited over an hour for a vehicle even though the representative on the phone made a reservation for us. They did not make it easy at all. I could be wrong but it did not seem busy (two people ahead of us), so unsure what we were waiting around over an hour for.
