If your flight gets cancelled or delayed you will still get charged for the time you reserve. Customer service is awful. Do not rent in advance. They will charge you even if you have flight issues.

Arrived at 8:10 for an 8:00 am class and was denied entry by the man at the front desk because the instructor doesn’t allow anyone who’s late. I really needed this class and certification for a job. I don’t understand why I only found out about the time of the class the night before it’s ridiculous.

Do not rent from Hertz!!! The battery on our rental died when we were in Indianapolis, which is not great but things happen. We got a jump start and were able to get to the Indianapolis airport Hertz to exchange the vehicle. We were charged $9.99 a gallon for not returning the vehicle with a full tank. I explained to the attendant( a woman named Queen) that I can't possibly refuel without shutting the car off and not being able to start it again. She told me there would be a charge as "the car isn't ours, it belongs to the location you rented it from. Maybe you can see if they'll waive the fee for you." Of course with a dismissive attitude and she refused to waive it. We rented from another Hertz airport location so that makes zero sense, Hertz is Hertz. I tried calling customer service several times and had a very hard time getting a human to speak to. I finally had to use the roadside assistance option to get someone. They told me they couldn't waive the fee as it didn't hit our credit card yet, but that they'd note our account so it would be waived when we returned the new vehicle. We returned the new vehicle and the manager told us they could not waive the fee and offered me $100 my next rental. He also told us there were no notes on our account to waive the fee. What a joke. He then told me that Indianapolis could waive the fee and that he'd reach out to them and get back to me. Of course he never did. I again called customer service several times and finally got someone who waived the fee. This shouldn't have been charged to begin with and been so difficult to address. Avoid Hertz at all costs!!

Location was closed with a sign that said drop off at LGA instead. Followed those instructions and was charged twice the agreed upon rental price for dropping off at the airport. Have been on the phone for days with Hertz customer service but the system is intentionally slow, incompetent, and frustrating. They need to “verify” the location is closed but since the location is closed they can’t reach anyone there to “verify” that the location they’ve tried to reach multiple times and can’t is in fact closed. Go with a different rental company.Edit: finally heard back from the escalation team and got a refund. Increased my review to 2 stars but I’d still recommend you go with a different company

Awesome service, woman at front desk was very nice, and explained everything in a great way. Whenever I need a rental again, I will count on Hertz.

They didn’t have a full-size sedan, so they gave me an SUV. I preferred a taller car, so the service was beyond what I expected. It was quick to get too.

Hertz closes down the rental location I was supposed to go to one day before pick up day. They send me to this location 30 minutes away.Car has a hole in the back seat and apparently they don't clean it because when I left my e-zpass on the windshield they said they didn't notice anything.So I lose my E-zpass, hertz charges me an exorbitant amount for tolls even though my e-zpass was on the windshield, they send me to a separate location a day before I was supposed to pick up, and customer service usually never picks up.Let Hertz go out of business.

Classic bait and switch rates. You'll rent an economy car online but they won't have one and staff will be unapologetic about it. Car was dirty and gas tank wasn't full. Upon returning the vehicle there will be no parking and if you find some you'll struggle to find a representative. Their customer service number isn't much better. Worst rental experience I've ever had by far and one of the worst customer service experiences in a long time. There are many car rental companies out there that make it no hassle to rent don't mess around with Hertz

Just rented a vehicle at this location. Staff is super nice and accommodating however the first Pacifica Van I got had faulty brakes. Yikes!Hertz office is inside the Hamptons Inn Hotel, LL so take the elevator one flight down from entrance.
