“I've used alacrity for a few projects now and they're always great. They might not always be the cheapest option, but they definitely do the best job and offer the best help when working to make sure your framing project is exactly what you're looking for.”

“Sam did an extraordinary job with some family heirloom silks that my grandfather bought in China approximately 100 years ago. Sam is a true artist and helped us find the perfect frame and colors for matting to enhance the appearance of the silks. I was also pleasantly surprised by his knowledge of Asian art and culture.”

“This was my first performance at the Albany Barn. The play "MRS. PACKARD" was so well done. The acting was impressive and riveting. I was greeted by one of the members as I entered who gave me a brief orientation of the building and the residents who live there. I strongly recommend this to anyone who loves the arts and wishes to support the Albany art community. Bravo!”

“Customer service here is amazing. The owner reached out to me personally to make sure I was taken care of. I am mostly self taught in playing bagpipes so I was nervous about making such a big purchase as a novice. Yet, I am now completely confident that I can have any questions answered by the team at piper dojo. They also have a ton of tutorials and training resources (some free and some paid) and from what I've experienced they create excellent content. Especially if you are mostly self taught like me. Thanks again and I will be a returning customer”

“I needed something for Christmas framed and this was the place to go to! It was my first visit to the gallery but not my last! The gallery has a very central and safe location with plenty of parking in front. It made a very professionell impression, being very well lit, open and friendly. I got really good advice, the process was flawless and the product came out super well. This is now my go - to gallery for sure!”

“Chris did beautiful work with my new cushion covers. I purchased a black and white animal graphic #marimekko fabric years ago and she matched the animal pattern so much better than I ever imagined possible for the 2 chair sets. Totally love her work!!”

“I've seen friends take classes here (pottery) for a while and they've loved the classes! I am a local art teacher and started teaching art at a school that had not had visual art in the curriculum for several years. As a result, there weren't that many supplies and I was struggling with figuring out what I could do with a small budget. I posted, asking for help to the Albany community on the Albany Buy Nothing Group (on Facebook) that I am a part of. Karen graciously donated a LOT of art supplies to my art classroom!! I was blown away by her generosity. I packed up my car and she gave me things that weren't in use anymore and have come in handy in my classroom such as collage material, scrap fabric, tons of containers for paint water, crayons, and pencils, tempera paint, lots and lots of paper, and different odds and ends that you'd find around an art classroom. When I started my job, because of so many years without art, I walked into basically an empty classroom! It was so daunting, and Karen was so kind to me. The Albany Art Room really helped me hit the ground running for when the school year started. She donated crayons, aprons, and easels too! It really is so wonderful to make a connection with another artist and educator in the Albany area, and I think fondly of The Albany Art Room and Karen almost every few days when I use something in my classroom that she's given me. I am planning on taking some pottery classes at The Albany Art Room for fun, because I haven't been a student in an art class in a while. I am so excited to learn more about this space, the people, the classes, and the community it offers.”
