You can't loose with Serena's tight curating of no frills ,beachy furniture and accessories. However, the quality is flimsy and feels cheap. My $3000.00 rug's warp threads started breaking and pulling out after a few weeks. So my blue rug has all these white threads sticking out. The brass lamps I bought are getting brown spots and loosing their finish even after ONLY dusting them with a soft cloth. The embroidered pillow's threads are starting to come out. The adjustable lamp doesn't fully adjust. My pair of counter stools are not the same height by 5/8 " Luckily it's a casual house and doesn't get heavy use or it would be shabby in no time. In summary: Nice stuff from India and China but at least twice the price it should be.

We ordered an upholstered bed from the East Hampton, NY store. After waiting nearly 6 months for the bed to be manufactured, we got a call to schedule delivery. Unfortunately, the bed was in Florida ready to be delivered to our billing address as opposed to the NYC we had indicated. Sadly, I called several times to confirm that the bed was going to the NYC address, and still, Serena and Lily managed to ship it to Florida. The shop’s products are very pretty, but between the time it takes for something to be made and their bungling sales associates, I will go elsewhere in the future for my furniture needs. By the way, the bungling sales associate is Robin, who failed to take responsibility for her ineptitude.

I usually like to post good reviews but unfortunately this review is going to be awful. Several months ago when I was in The Hamptons, I went to Serena and Lily. A woman by the name of Robin, who represented herself as store manager, was the person I was working with, along with a few of my friends, who were also shopping. I picked out furniture for several rooms with Robin, and fabrics. Once we paid it was hard to get her on the phone. We are still waiting for several pieces months later, and she just does not return phone calls, to myself and my friends. Her staff always says, they give her the messages, but it is weeks now, and no furniture and still zero return calls from Robin. Some of the furniture I did receive came in dirty and need their furniture doctor to try and clean it. this has been a very disappointing and stress experience, that is still going on. All I can say is before you spend your money, look elsewhere. Maybe RH?

First the negative - PLEASE update you hours on googletwice I have checked the hours before going to the store and the information was incorrect...bad customer experienceHowever, both times Mark Hughes was there and let me in. Yesterday, he spent 45 minutes with me helping me get my back deck ready for memorial day weekend - above and beyond considering he came in early to get other work done - thank you!

Robin and Claire are the nicest two woman on the planet. They have a wonderful educated and helpful manner. They were able to help me navigate the overwhelming selection with ease. It truly was a pleasure doing business with them. I recommend this store highly. Best, Steve

My experience with Robin is what lead to the score. I’m passionate about customer service. She was in a position to turn a mishap (incorrect color chairs were delivered) into a positive outcome. Instead, the conversation escalated. Instead of owning the mistake on behalf of her company and making it right with a simple credit for all shipping costs incurred due to the hassle and inconvenience associated with the error, she told me she didn’t want my business (and subsequently any referrals). The only thing she said she would do is credit my original shipment in full and I’m still waiting after one month for that to happen. Disappointing outcome considering I had a pleasant experience with her staff until then. Best of luck out there. There are always two sides to a story but it boils down to customer value. You get it or you don’t. Let’s lower the temperature.

Full disclosure my friend's mom works there-- I know for a fact they did an entire employee overhaul and new management so I don't think the old reviews about service still stand true today. I had a great time at the store, which is gorrrrrgeous. (One star off bc it's it's a bit pricey! Please do some sales soon and I'm there!)

Serena & Lily is EXACTLY the home decor & furniture shop the Hamptons needs!!! Every single product in that store is extremely well-made & beautifully designed, and Serena & Lily somehow manages to give all their products a fresh, unique flair, while still keeping all the pieces timeless and classy. Also, ALL OF THEIR STAFF ARE INTERIOR DESIGNERS! The staff couldn't be more helpful or knowledgeable about the product line and interior design trends. There's also a cute little beachy "pop-up shop" on the grounds with jewelry and high-end skincare products from other lines like Tata Harper, Goop (Gwyneth Paltrow's company), Alpyn, etc. The store is right on Montauk Highway with parking right in front, so even if you're not specifically looking for home decor or furniture, it's totally worth stopping in. (Also, it's the BEST for "hostess gifts"!)
