Unfortunately, CVS East Islip has become a haven for beggars, some are aggressive. The entire parking lot is unkempt and numerous complaints to management have remained unaddressed. Some of the beggars are aggressive and one will bang on your car for money & hit your car if you don't comply. I'm in the process of finding a pharmacy that meets my needs & feels safe.

Every month I refill my prescriptions at the same time. I get the same amount in each bottle. 3 bottles. Every month they mysteriously don't have all 3 ready even though I get messages saying they are ready and end up making multiple trips to get my order. Also the drive thru becomes so packed that people just block the entrance into the shopping plaza. It's dangerous just waiting on Carleton with cars zipping by and beeping while idiots block the way because god forbid they get out and walk in. No one does anything about it. I have learned to just turn the corner and go in by Boston market. I would be upset if I were the owner of the neighboring stores.

I had scheduled my COVID booster here for yesterday. I got THREE different confirmations of my appointment, one when I made it, one last week, and one yesterday right before my appointment. I went into the pharmacy to get my shot ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT i DID NOT, in fact, HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. The pharmacist then told me to call the 800 number to complain. TWO HOURS LATER, I am told that I cannot have my appointment because there is no available time for one! They have now lost themselves a customer because THEY SUCK!!

So slow. Apparently they are going to self checkout only and they only have one person assisting. The single employee at the registers conducted the entire transaction at the self checkout and blocked off another of the self checkout machines. Only one machine allows cash, slowing things down further. Definitely not the place do go if you are in a hurry

I always go to this CVS primarily because of the drive-thru. It makes it that much easier to pick up a prescription instead of having to go inside. Other than that, this location is just like any other CVS.

I recently started using this CVS as my go to since moving to the area. It's not bad for retail or for pharmacy. I did have to wait for my prescription (rx) to be filled but they provided me with an accurate timeframe for when to expect rx filled. The stock on the shelves was consistent with other CVS stores I've been to and despite Covid-19 they even had toilet paper. Some of the associates are a bit chatty amongst themselves which is not something I care too much about. It's kind of sweet to see co-workers getting along. There are self check outs to use when you are ready to purchase.

I have not yet been inside but I have used the drive thru recently about 4 times. One out of 4 times it was a few cars deep but it honestly moved fairly quickly. Anyone I've dealt with at the window has always been nice. Word of advice to anyone getting aggravated when it's not ready. Download the app and it will give you updates when it is ready. They now allow delivery which I've used twice with no issue!

This pharmacy has to be the absolute worst. MD sent over prescription for antibiotics, arrived at the pharmacy three hours later and it was not ready told they are closed and to come back tomorrow. Arrived at 3pm the next day a whole 24 hours later and the medication was still not ready. Always an issue here. Avoid going here

The women who were working in the Pharmacy are rude and incompetent women. I used the Drive Thru and they were very unprofessional and bitchy, never have I ever had this experience at my normal pharmacy. I only used here because I was under the impression it was a 24 hour pharmacy, to find out it's only the store that is 24 hours. After spending several hours in the ER and the pharmacy being closed, I went to the pharmacy the next morning around 8:30 and was met with rude and obnoxious employees. "Your isn't ready we only open at 8am" ok it's 8:30 it was sent from a hospital, Doesn't that take priority. "You'll have to wait 15-20 minutes so we can make it". Okay I'll wait here in my car in the drive thru line, thanks. Which she followed by if a car comes on the line you need to get off and then back on, like hell they can wait just like I am. Not my fault that this isn't ready. Walks away and sends over the Pharmacist who was just as bitchy and instead of making the prescriptions was telling me I had to get off a line and get back on. Are you serious in the time it took you to walk away from making my prescriptions to speak with me they could've been done and I could be on my way. Instead I told you you were incompetent and rude and I will never be using your pharmacy again, I hate big store pharmacies for this reason they don't care about their jobs and certainly don't think a prescription from a hospital is important.

This CVS is clean and organized and accessible. Why I really love this CVS is because of their customer service. They are friendly and helpful. I really do love the tall guy at the pharmacy who remembers ur name and ensures ur pharmacy experience is pleasant and quick. This is helpful because there is no drive thru. He keeps me coming back.

For the most part, the people who help me in the pharmacy department (via phone or drive-through) are nasty, with the exception of a few. They should not be working with the general public.

Clean, friendly cashiers, well stocked but waiting on line for a cashier is horrible- totally disorganized- no directions on how to line up- it is chaos- if they had a queue system- I would give this store 5 stars-

After reading through the other reviews I have to say that most of those people seem to be having bad days. Having worked over 10 years in retail, the only real complaint I have is the line of the pharmacy either has 1 person or 10 people on it whenever I come through. Which isn't their fault. They have plenty of staff and they do hustle. If other reviewers would open their eyes they'd notice that there are a lot of middle-age to older women who use this CVS and the wait is usually due to 50-60 year old women w/ shopping carts checking out on the pharmacy line (or just ladies who have to wade through their gigantic handbags). I say that if you can't carry it up to the register, then maybe you should pick up your prescriptions first and then do the rest of your shopping. It's the price for going to one of the nicer locations on the island as opposed to the ghetto store near me on 5th ave. in Bay Shore. The good news is that if the line is mostly made up of men and women who don't carry around their entire house on their arm, the line moves extremely quick. Kind of like the supermarket checkout game that everyone plays where you don't necessarily look for the shortest line, but the line consisting of the people who look like they'll be checking out without a hassle. Except you're only 2 line choices are inside and drive-thru. The only issue I did have was when the computers were down and sale prices weren't ringing up; one of the ladies behind the counter was less than helpful and I had to ask for a manager at the front counter, who immediately took care of the issue.
