This place is terrible. It's no wonder retail is dying. I stopped here to buy the new iPhone because their website said it was in stock. The guys working here told me he had to go on his lunch break and no one else could help me. He told me to schedule an appointment and come back. What a joke.

I wanted a specific product that was showing available online. A guy at customer service asked someone to bring it. I wanted to walk around and get more items, not one was around to help. One person and he was helping someone. Went to security and he called someone to help. No one showed up, so i purchased my items from B&H. This would be my last time shopping here unless it's absolutely necessary. The customer service is not the same, I'm honestly disappointed because I have to go out of my way to get what I need. The Geek Squad is useless. For them to tell me I need to ship my laptop off for 2months when the have the same laptop in store is insane to me when I purchased the warranty. I purchased two Surface pros and refused to get in on the second one because it will be a waste of money. The laptop can not be fixed. They told me this.

They sold me an Apple Watch series 8 and the box contained a series 7 without a charger. Went to the store to rectify but they refused to help in any way. The management is horrible and they sell fake stuff. Beware! If there's an option for zero stars I would pick that, so they get one star which they don't deserve!

They remodeled the store and completely changed the checkout situation. Instead of the one big checkout area, there's now a few small ones scattered around the store. One was not staffed and the second told me that I had to go to a THIRD checkout stand to actually purchase my items. It's extremely confusing.

Last time I was there they messed up my iCloud backup/transfer and I lost a lot of pictures when I was there for a simple repair. Today I went in for a screen protector replacement under a lifetime warranty (that I reluctantly had to purchase when they replaced my phone last time instead of doing the simple repair). I was there for 45 minutes, 25 of which was them with my phone in the back trying to put on the new screen protector. I watched them go back out to the rack and get THREE new ones because they kept messing it up. Finally got it back with a crooked screen protector, tiny bubbles on the border, and sitting right on the edge of the screen border so it forms this rainbow reflection. Didn't realize until I got home and now I have to call the corporate Geek Squad to see if I can get a new one. I never complain about customer service issues ever on principle (I feel bad even writing this) but every time I enter this store I leave feeling frustrated and upset. The people are nice, but I don't trust the Geek Squad to perform a simple screen protector switch let alone anything more complex. Save yourself the stress and do the replacement at home if you can.

After several years of membership with Total Tech Support, my family decided to terminate the account due to significant inconsistency in the quality of customer service and technical support received. In the past 3 years we spent over $17,000 at BestBuy, including new TVs and computers. The customer service we received was terrible even if we had only purchased a single item, much less that we had spent so much money with the company and were continuing to make purchases with them. I will say that there was one bright spot in the experience noted below - the manager at this store was genuinely invested in helping resolve the experience to the best of his ability - too bad the rest of the company doesn't have his customer service sense. One of the computers purchased was an IBuyPower gaming computer (~$1400) turned out to be a lemon, with a range of hardware problems presenting within the first few months after purchase. After numerous in-home, online, and in-store GeekSquad appointments, the computer issues were not corrected and the last GeekSquad agent to work on the computer wiped the OS (Microsoft 10) and then couldn't reinstall it - so the computer was dead. I invested more time with the GeekSquad and connected with Corporate Office (a rep from the office of Customer Service EVP Allison Peterson) in the hopes of obtaining a refund or some substantial reimbursement. While waiting to hear about some compensation I decided to give the GeekSquad and BestBuy the benefit of the doubt and purchased another computer (different model this time!) and made sure that the the salesperson new I had an LG ultrawide monitor. When the new computer arrived, there were immediate issues with the graphic card not working with my monitor. Two more calls to GeekSquad for help (first time they hung up on me, second time the tech on the phone had no idea what they were doing) that went nowhere. I had been waiting for the rep from Ms. Peterson's office to get back to me and ultimately had to email and call again to get a response only to be told that they would do nothing more than give me a discount (undisclosed amount) on my next Best Buy purchase. 1. Hours spend online, in-store, and in-home for a new computer that had a number of problems and ultimately could not be used due to a tech's decision to wipe the OS and then unable to reinstall. 2. Had to pursue the Corporate Office customer service person with emails and calls as he had promised to get back to me and never did. 3. Was sold a computer tower that was not compatible with my monitor, despite having repeatedly providing the specs on my monitor to ensure compatibility. Even though I received a refund for this computer, I wasted my time purchasing, picking up, and connecting the computer only to find that it was not compatible with my monitor. 4. BestBuy never bothered trying to help me connect with the manufacturer (IBuyPower), simply telling me it was my problem even after I explained that the computer company was not taking phone calls due to "COVID" (convenient way to avoid customer service complaints!) and had not responded to any of my emails. It is far too easy these days to build or purchase your computer online directly from the manufacturer. There is also are a large number of tech support services available these days - they can't be any worse than what I experienced with Geek Squad and BestBuy.

This is by far the worst run Best Buy in the entire world. The customer service is HORRIBLE. everyone is rude, and does everything in their power to get out of helping you. A sales person named shabaan is by far the worst. He was being sarcastic and asking us what was wrong with us that we didn't have common sense. He was demeaning condescending and belittling. Horrible. Made me uncomfortable. Worst store ever. 10/10 would not recommend.

I came here recently to check out the Magnolia section as I'm looking for some home theater options. I ended up chatting with Matteo who was exceptional! I've been reviewing a few options for my living room tv/audio setup and Matteo was just the brain I needed to pick. I needed to have a "nerdy audiophile" conversation and he was very patient, extremely knowledgeable and totally "into it". I was able to bounce ideas off of him and he was able to help me narrow down what I'm looking for and how to get there. I was able to setup a home consultation to get some specifics figured out. If you need someone to talk to about home audio/video - Matteo is your guy!!

why does no one answer the phone at the Commack Store?? I asked the manager, Vinny, and he acted like it wasnt a big deal. He said you need to know the person's extension. That's not how you manage a store. Someone should be answering the phones so they can assist customers. Beyond annoying!!!

My college student daughter was not able to charge her new I Pad Pro, we went to buy a new cord we thought to check it before we left the store the cord did not start to charge the I Pad. So we purchased the cube, again attempted to try the new items. No good so the young check out clerk took all our items into the geek squad. Unfortunately after 5-7 mins the technician could not get the I Pad to turn on. Being college final week our daughter absolutely needed this to work. Another Tech came over to give his advice and assistance. They help kindness and assistance was absolutely genuine and appreciated. We will definitely be back!!!!

I worked in store with a really great salesperson named Fallon--friendly, fun, knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the abysmal phone service at Best Buy loses this sale. I called several times. Either no answer, or interminable wait followed by automatic hangup, or--this morning's triumph--I got through after 10 minutes on hold, spoke to someone, he connected me to wherever Fallon was in store, then was disconnected. Get wise, BestBuy. For a store that deals in electronics, your phone game should be on point. Very poor performance. I'll buy and have installation from Amazon.

Would not waste my time going here. Amazon is much cheaper. Staff is not friendly. Merchandise looks used and returned. Don't bother. Best Buy is going to go the way of circuit city
