This store is consistently understaffed and to be honest, the one man who is a frequent cashier is so unfriendly it makes the entire experience uncomfortable. As other reviews have stated there is only 1 register open every single time I go in the store and the line is ridiculous. Today their card terminals were down and no one thought to put a sign on the door, the cashier is nastily telling customers when they get to the register...maybe notify people before they go to check out so you don't waste everyone's time?

This was the first time we had been to a Lidl since there isn't one near our home. We were visiting family nearby, needed a few things and wanted to see how great Lidl was. My brother in GA goes all the time to Lidl near him. He takes pictures and videos which show an extremely nice, clean and well stocked store. This store wasn't like the stores in GA.
The shelves were poorly stocked, messy and hard to navigate when associates were stocking the shelves. The promo items require an account like many other retail grocery stores, unlike Aldi which doesn't. We didn't know this until we got to checkout. The cashier was overwhelmed with the shopper in front of us, then he was unhelpful when we expected sale prices without an App or phone number associated with an account. We left a few items behind because he had no way to give us the sale prices. Other store cashiers offer their accounts in order to expedite a sale. He did not.
This store needs some attention.

Filthy front of store. Never any shopping baskets by front door. Never more than one register open for check out and auto check rarely open.

Honestly, not bad. Pretty disorganized and disheveled, but good prices and they have the basics, much like an Aldi.

Lidl has become my preferred grocery store. The store is consistently clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to find everything I need. Their produce is always fresh and well-stocked, and the bakery section is a standout — the breads, rolls, and pastries are of excellent quality and taste as though they came from a specialty shop.
Pricing is another strong point. Lidl offers great value without sacrificing quality, and I regularly notice meaningful savings compared to other local supermarkets. Their rotating weekly specials and international selections also add variety and make shopping here an enjoyable experience.
Most importantly, the staff at this location deserve recognition. They are professional, efficient, and always approachable if assistance is needed. Checkout is smooth and quick, even during busier hours.
Overall, this Lidl sets a high standard for grocery shopping in the area. It combines quality, affordability, and excellent customer service, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the East Patchogue & surrounding communities.
