This place is an absolute treasure. This review mainly focuses on the custom framing, but the craft supply sales and expertise of the employees is also way beyond anything else in the local area. If you have finished embroidery that you want framed for display, I would not trust it to any other framer. Andrea has a fantastic eye for what frame and treatments will suit each piece and she is a true professional. She has always helped select the perfect combination and really takes her time to make sure you are happy with the selection, and the finished products have always been pristine.

I have been coming to the store for many years. I first went there when they were in the plaza. I bought my first cross stitch stand made of oak, and I have made many Crosstitch designs. I have seven on my wall. That I am very proud of ! Golden needle has been there for all I need in supplies and more.❤️

I consider Golden Thread Needlearts my "Home Cross-stitch shop". I have literally gone here for about 20 years. Unlike a lot of cross-stitch shops, there are finishing options like boxes, pillows etc. and her sample walls are fantastic. Great for a large piece or if you just want to make a quick "small" a great place to visit. Mentioned this shop in my latest Youtube. A great asset to the Rochester community.

Andrea, the owner is very helpful and highly knowledgeable about thread arts.She is willing to help get charts if you want them. Nice atmosphere in the shop and I never feel hurried!

I am so impressed with the framing job done to restore some original photos of my great grandparents. UV light blocking glass replacements, frame repair and fresh mattes transformed the images into beautifully transformed heirlooms. I am so grateful for the tender care taken with our family images. It’s so meaningful to be able to entrust this kind of work and receive fabulous results!
