We recently attended a birthday party here and both of my girls (age 3 & 8) had a wonderful time. There were so many fun things for the kids to do that they didn’t need to wait long for a turn on anything. Also I’ve never seen so much staff at a birthday party! The staff was involved in the party and spread out throughout the gym not clustered together chatting. Also as soon as the party moved on to the party room the staff got right to work cleaning the gym. I would definitely recommend!

The staff were so great with my special needs daughter during a friend's party. They were quick, kind, and caring. I really appreciate all the help they provided!

If you don't have time to read the details, the summary is that your money is more important to Five Star than you are. Unfortunately, when money is the motivation for a business, customers get taken advantage of. This is our story with Five Star.Last summer, after watching the Olympics, my dance daughter decided that she wanted to try gymnastics. Personally, I wasn't for it, but I figured that she should do what she thought she loved. So, come September 2021, we did trial classes at 3 different gyms. While I couldn't decide between gyms, my daughter chose Five Star because she felt that she wasn't babied during the trial class. Fair enough, we enrolled in Five Star.I want to pause here to preface my comments (below) by saying that, bar one, I sat through every class and observed every single thing that was done. This is the teacher in me, details are everything.Anyway, from what I observed, the kids NEVER moved on from the initial skills that they learned. While they rotated equipment each week, they never learned more/different skills on the same equipment. I personally felt that my daughter was ready and could have been pushed to learn a lot more new skills, but she wasn't.Around January 2022, my daughter told me after class that her teacher suggested that she try out for the team. My husband and I were not too keen on the idea because of the skimpy clothing gymnasts wear. However, our daughter begged us and I received a guarantee from Five Star that if our daughter made the team, she would be able to compete with pants. Okay, great. Here's the one catch though - I was told that if my daughter wanted to make the team, she should take private lessons with her weekly rec gymnastics teacher.Alarm bells went off for hubby and I because this sounded shady. Our daughter was supposedly strong enough (according to her teacher) to make the team, but we needed to pay an extra $60 per private lesson for the same teacher to teach her the new skills she needed to know? Sounded like we were going to be taken advantage of, but alas, we trusted the teacher. To try to cut a long story shorter, our daughter was taught the same skills over and over again in the private lessons, and they were the skills that she was already strong in, mostly. She was not properly prepped for the team tryout. Our daughter even asked her teacher on different occasions if she would be learning anything new, to which the teacher replied that she just needed to practice. After the fact, Five Star had the audacity to tell me that I should have done the private lessons with a team coach instead of my daughter's non-team coach. So apparently, it was my fault that my daughter was not prepared for the team tryout. There was also the idea that it was my daughter's fault too because she didn't know the skills - the skills that I paid extra for her to learn. Five Star took no responsibility that their coach didn't teach her the skills she needed to know. And before they come on here and try to say differently, here's a list of the skills that my daughter supposedly needed to know to pass the tryouts. The yes/no in parentheses indicates the skills that were taught/were not taught in the private lessons (I sat through every single one and observed everything).- Legs & body tight on vaults (no)- Pull over without spotting (yes, but with spotting)- Glide swing (no)- Cast without spotting (no)- Splits (no)- Upper body Strength exercises (yes)- Chin ups (yes, once)- leg lifts (yes, one)- balance beam straight jump (no)- tuck jump on balance beam (no)- split jump on balance beam (no)- split leap on balance beam (no)- back handspring on floor (no, she was taught to do it in the foam pit)- full turn on floor(no)- split leap on floor (no)Thankfully a new gym is opening up close by. We'll either be there, or because of her height, we'll try rhythmic gymnastics. My daughter loves sports and is involved in soccer and swimming as well, so no love lost with gymnastics.

We had a fantastic experience with 5 star for my son’s 2nd birthday party! All the children had so much! The staff was very patient, able to guide the kids throughout the gym activities while the kids explored, and they were very organized. I highly recommend birthday parties with 5 star.We also attend bagels and babies and jump and play and my son is a huge fan of both events!

I have been coming here for a few years now with my 5 & 3 year olds and I love it! Their babies & bagels on Fridays and tuesdays jump & plays for the little ones for only $10 is amazing! You cannot beat the price and the littles have so much fun running, jumping, rolling around, etc.! The staff is awesome- engaging in classes & even the free for all events I previously mentioned. Their classes are high energy & FUN! The staff is accessible through email and they answer promptly which is a huge PLUS for me. I also like that you pay monthly ($120ish/month) so if you need to cancel, you're not stuck paying an exorbitant amount for classes you can no longer attend. For personal reasons I had to unenroll my daughter & they refunded me even tho they did NOT have to. I'm really appreciative of that & will definitely return!

They should honestly rename this establishment as ZERO STARS GYMNASTICS because of the horrible customer service and poor communication. My daughter was enrolled here for almost 2 years. My daughter was happy going there so I was happy to pay the monthly tuition which isn't cheap at all. Then November 2021 my daughter called me crying because another little girl pushed her off some equipment. She fell off with one knee completely bruised and the other knee swelled up so bad she could not put weight on it. She missed school for 2 days because of this and could barely walk. I understand things happen in this type of sport but what I take issue with is 1) ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION. ZERO. Nothing. Not one initial phone call to let me know something happened at their establishment. My daughter was the one who called me. Absolutely unacceptable 2) A coach that has more kids than they can handle and no helper??? Really?? I understand 1 person cannot keep eyes on every child but where are the assistants?? Especially if I am paying $139 a month. An establishment collecting $139 for god knows how many students enrolled and you can't even have assistants or someone monitoring children? 3) Even after the incident do you think anyone called to follow up on my daughter to see how she was doing? At the very least to pretend someone cared?? Nope not once. Not one follow up call or even an email. And let me preface this by saying, I do not write reviews online to bring any business down but this incident is completely unacceptable.I called to cancel my daughter's tuition as she will not be returning to a place who does not care to follow up on how she is doing, does not care if I cancel her membership at the gym, and does not care to keep a paying customer for almost 2 years. Therefore, I don't care to write a truthful horrible review of this place and make other parents aware that this place does not care about your kids AT ALL. Kids to them are cattle just for bringing in money. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere as I will be doing.UPDATE: 12/3/21After speaking with a representative for management, this lady Nicole had the nerve to tell me they have absolutely no record of an injury taking place and it was my responsibility to notify management. Really. So because of their negligence, lack of oversight, lack of communication and not to mention endangering children in their care it was up to ME to notify them? Meanwhile everyone on their staff when I picked up my child was there and told me they would file a report. So ridiculous. Please please think twice about sending your child to this gym. The lack of communication, lack of documenting ANYTHING, will put your child at risk.

Wonderful place. Coaches go above and beyond. My kids have always enjoyed classes, team, and parties there. Highly recommend this place.

I honestly would have given 5 Star all 5 stars because my child definitely enjoys their classes. The instructor is welcoming, fun, and organized. However, the lady at the front desk is dismissive and can be very impolite. You'll ask her a question, she'll start answering you, see another parent or family come in, and cut you off mid sentence to attend to the other family. She might even almost forget that you were there. I was of the opinion that all families were paying just like I am. It's not like they're handing me a freebie and would rather serve their paying customers with the highest courtesy. I'm paying too, aren't I? I have no idea if her impoliteness is related to our race in any way or if this is an experience that all other families have had. However, the front desk lady's impoliteness has led us to consider checking out other gymnastics programs, especially with All Star Gymnastics about to set up shop just a few blocks away. Either way, I enjoy customer service where the front desk person makes every customer feel cherished. She's the one that every customer must interact with, so she is the face of the gym, and if the face of the facility does not have good manners, it does not bode well for the entire facility.

My kids love it here. We go to the homeschool daytime parkour classes when we can. So fun and accommodating with the new Covid restrictions, I feel very safe sending them there.
