I had the BEST Experience with the staff there. They were so gracious and helpful when I found the new loves of my life. Two brothers two years old Echo and Spirit who I have renamed Sonny and Sam. I recommend anyone who is looking for a loving pet go to the Humane Society on Taft Road. They are wonderful wonderful people and I’m so glad I walked in there that day and found my two boys.

The people are very unfriendly. They never answer phones. My 32yr old daughter fell in love with a cat "Mary". We did everything that was required, including vaccinating our senior cat, who we rescued 8 years ago. Brought them proof through VCA vet that she was healthy and up to date. They then said we could pick her up Monday.n we bought everything this cat, including 200+ in vet costs for our senior cat. Went back Monday and they still would not let take her. We were. In love with her. This place sucks, and I will go on soc media and every contact I have not to deal with them. Horrible, awful ppl

Cats seemed well cared for and I had a nice conversation with a volunteer there.

Adopted Sheddy Roosevelt (fka Meatball) here about a year ago. Came in just to start looking for a cat, and ended up with this loveable clown. While the staff/volunteers did seem a bit disorganized, they were all incredibly kind and the facility was very clean.

Absolutely horrible experience with the staff. Just incredibly rude people. I filled out an application and they said that was all they needed and they’d call me the next day to pick up the cat. Then each passing day they came up with some excuse as to why they needed more information. When I called back to check on the application the lady was insanely rude and proceeded to tell me off. It’s a shame for the animals that they are being kept by such uncivilized people.

Definitely one of my favorite adoption clinics one of the things that makes them so great is that they are a no-kill shelter and they work so very hard every single day to make sure that they're wonderful pets are adopted I love going there and playing with the cats and saying hello to the kittens I really appreciate all of the hard work they do to make sure that these animals are going to be perfect homes. I will absolutely be back when I am ready to adopt again

Don’t waste the trip, don’t apply if you’re heavier, just don’t waste your time at all here. Visited a dog to adopt then my partner and I were fat shamed for 5 minutes straight. “You have to take the dog on hour long walks everyday NOT just once a week” ??? who walks their dog once a week anyway?? Then they offered a “couch potato” 12 year old beagle instead. Left here wishing I didn’t waste the gas or energy on an application. Call first they’ll surely find something wrong with your voice. The 4.2 rating lies, seriously read these reviews and don’t waste your time I drove over an hour to be fat shamed by an employee who looked like me… honestly so disappointed.

They love stealing people's beloved pets who got lost and treating the owner like horrible pet owner for "not looking good enough" for their lost pet when they were looking as hard as they could.

I adopted a 3 yr old male cat at the beginning of the pandemic lock down, March 13th 2020. He is a blessing to have and especially at such a lonely time in our History . Asher is now 4 and doing great! I love ? him more every day. His adoption went very smoothly and the staff was great. They had a large selection at the time of his adoption all ages and sizes.

If you have to surrender your pet DONT go to this place!!!! Owner had to surrender their pet and volunteer Maureen Davison did the intake of surrender. Owner explained to Maureen in full detail that they became disabled and could no longer physically and financially take care of pet anymore. This broke owners heart but they did what was best for their pet. After owner surrendered their pet, Maureen Davison went on social media posting about this pet and spoke about owner negatively, telling lies about why owner surrendered their pet while she and her friends bashed the owner. How unprofessional and disgraceful to do to an owner when you knew the truth why they had to surrender their pet!!!!

Maureen and her gang do amazing work! If not for them so many lives would be left undetermined. Great rescue run by a great team! Met this lovebug they took in from a county animal control that does not have a contract with rescue! Humane CNY stepped up and took him in. Another life saved! ??

Nancy and all who work here are all awesome animal care givers. The wife and I are adopting our new family member, Gunnarr, aka; Ace, from HumanCNY and they are all incredible people who really make adopting from them enjoyable. We can't say enough good words this rescue. God Bless them.
