I went to Country Markets this evening and was so pleasantly surprised at the selection - especially in baking supplies and freshly prepared foods. Love that there are many gluten free options - and a selection of Ronnybrook farms and other local farm products. I feel like I may have made a new BFF...

This has nothing to do with the food or products. However; this review has to with the lack of knowledge this business has with regards to the mask order they put in place by following the governors request of masks indoors. If the business does their due diligence and call the governors office they will find out there is no EO for masks that was signed. I recommend this business does their investigation before putting a non-law into their place of business. You will loose customers and probably be put on a boycott list. Also, if this is such a contagious virus why are you just using masks, why don't you wear a hazmat suit? Instead of having your employees being rude to your paying customers. Your cashier rang up my 4 items, 2 items she rang up using her sleeve and two she rang up using her hands. Please teach your employees how germs are passed. After she rang the items up, she wouldn't take my $$$ to pay for the items until I wore a mask. If this is how customers are being treated at your store, you won't have one left. No one asked me the reason for me not wearing a mask, I could of had a medical exemption that no one dared to ask. How is a mask helping protect you? If you had one on and I didn't, you should feel safe. Just as if I was vaccinated and you weren't, I would feel safe. Stop being mask Nazis! Let everyone make their own choices for their own body. Also, have you worn those masks outside and saw your breath, so again how is it protecting you? If you see your breath than what else can come through the masks? #usecommonsense #faithoverfear Just a little educational information: the box of masks literally state not used for medical purposes.

Recently purchased ground beef. Looks nice and fresh on the outside. However, when you go to use the beef Old Meat is on the inside. Turning color to grey. Not fresh as stated on the packaging. Very poor Meat manager for sure.

This market would do a lot more business if they didn't overprice most of the items it sells. Other than the deli and the produce sections which seem to be more in line with others stores, I try to shop for other items elsewhere. I guess that's why the lines are short and the parking easy.

Best damn apple pie I ever had. Of course all their vegetables are always on point. Used to come here a couple years back when I lived in the area. Haven't been back in awhile and tried the apple pie. Blown away

Wonderful deli section particularly important in rhe summer months. Complemented by very fresh fruits and veggies.. no left overs here! Knowledgeable and helpful staff for family or party needs

I have shopped at Country Markets, Eastchester for about 30 years without a problem. However, recently I had a very unpleasant experience with customer service. After waiting for my curbside pickup order for three days, there were three errors with the order. Steak was mistakenly provided in place of chopped meat ( I specified no substitutions) and two other items were incorrect. I called to have the mistake corrected and Carmella, Amanda and Stephan each claimed to be the manager or owner. I was told nothing could be returned because of covid and I would only be given a 20% refund, even though it was their mistake. After speaking to Stephan, who Amanda said was the owner, he gave me a full refund for the meat. He was confused as to what to do about the other items because Amanda told him he could not give a full refund. When I explained to Carmela (they kept switching representatives) that I did not accept this solution, she said "Well, I do not accept you! She finally agreed to give me a full refund for all the items "if I never place an order again." I completed the customer feedback section of their website but have not received a response from Joe Friedman, the owner, or any manager. While the meat and deli department are excellent, I would not recommend Country Markets, Eastchester because of their poor customer "service".

Not only is it appalling, not to mention price gouging, that you would charge over $5.00 for a regular dozen eggs, but you have the audacity to remove all price stickers from the eggs section. I guess you’re counting on customers needing eggs & not seeing the ridiculous price they paid until they get home. No store in this area is charging this ridiculous price for a basic dozen eggs, from the chains right down to the mom & pops. What you are doing is illegal. The little sign you posted about prices being higher is not enough and you know it. U must post prices. U deliberately removed all price stickers. I’d say you should be ashamed of yourselves but it’s painfully clear you don’t have the capacity for moral capability let alone legal. My money will go elsewhere.

I love this store and it's convenience. The lines aren't that long and it's great for getting in , getting what I need and running out. Everyone is usually very friendly and familiar faces . However , I have to say for being a customer that shops there all the time , I did run into an issue recently. I recently bought steaks ( which weren't a cheap cut ) one night. The next night I went to cook them for dinner and found half the steaks I purchased had brown spots on them. It was too late for me to return them, bc now I had to figure out dinner for my family. So the next day I went to the supermarket and was told oh , well it's past 24 hours so you can't return them now. Being that I'm a frequent shopper and sell by date was still 1-2 days away , they should have refunded my money. Is not even about the money , it's the principal of the matter .

It’s shameful and disgusting that the stock man working the dairy/bread aisle was coughing while walking back and forth and didn’t bother to cough into his sleeve. Literally walked by me while coughing into the air. I left in disgust and now wondering if I have covid

During this stressful time, this store manages to stay on top and deliver what the local community needs with a smile. I've been to many major supermarket chains and they are emptied out. The managers are magicians and somehow seem to fill their shelves daily. Makes shopping local easy! Rose, Will and Stella. You are all what we are needing at a time of despair. You are gold to the people of eastchester. Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!

the grocery bags are flimsy the cashier stufffed all my items into one bag which ripped they have a umbrellas for sale that are broken in a dusty cade by the magazines

Just bought ROTTEN STEAK here. Discolored, foul smelling, clearly rewrapped and resold meat. Don't bother sending me a private message I won't respond. Buyer beware!
