We have invested in Jump Start Tutoring for each of our four children when they began preparing for standardized college admissions testing. Jump Start was a perfect SAT test prep solution for my son. He knew he needed in person and after calling many places and feeling discouraged, I felt confident in Jump Start after speaking with Matt. My son really liked his tutors (Sanil & Shawn) and actually enjoyed going to the center. He would often go early after school just to chat with the staff or meet friends and do homework. He felt comfortable there. As parents we appreciated the constant communication and frequent reports. My son had an excellent experience working with JumpStart in Eastchester to prep for the ACT. Matt provided a great overview and initial assessment and helped guide our tutor selection. Both Sanil (math/science) and Kristina (English) are outstanding tutors. In addition to being subject matter experts, they taught highly effective test taking strategies. My son did the homework assigned, met once a week with each tutor, and took advantage of 2 on-site practice tests. Through his own hard work and JumpStart assistance, he significantly raised his ACT score. Dominick was attentive and responsive, and a pleasure to work with. We had a great time working with Jump Start on my child's ACT score, which was raised significantly after working with Matt and his team. Katie, her tutor, was wonderful and helped her to ultimately succeed on the math and science sections, which she was struggling with previously. She also had lots of fun working with Tim, who was very encouraging! Everyone, including staff members such as Dominick, provided my child with a safe and supportive environment to increase her ACT score. I would strongly encourage JST to any student seeking help with their academic performance!

My son had a wonderful experience working with JumpStart Tutoring. Matt and his team were amazing. They set up a plan for my son, and executed it to perfection. My son raised his test scores over 250 points after the lessons! I was very impressed by the level of care and concern they have for their students. Jump Start has been great for my son. He's been going there for a number of years for regular tutoring and started his ACT prep this year. His grades in school improved and he went up 13 points from his practice ACT. The entire JST team truly cares about your child's success and are so accommodating. Manuela, Tim and Kristina were all fabulous tutors and my son really enjoyed working with them. Can't recommend them and JST enough.

My son used jumpstart for ACT tutoring. Our initial consultation with Matt made us feel comfortable and helped guide us through the best and most efficient game plan for success. Matt gave us information about and pricing for various tutors who specialized in the areas needed. My son worked with Abhik and Tim, both of whom had an excellent rapport with him. They were very knowledgeable about their subject areas and helpful in terms of my son's specific needs. They prepared him well and his resulting score was even better than expected. It was difficult during the pandemic to prep for Audrey's SAT and ACT. Jump Start was amazing in helping Audrey prep these exam in a comfortable environment. She was able to bring up her score in both ACT and SAT. I would highly recommend Jump Start for everyone. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Matt and his team at Jump Start Tutoring have been an absolute pleasure to work with. My daughters’ tutors, Kristina and Zane, helped her develop the confidence she needed to boost her ACT scores tremendously. Kristina and Zane were both very thorough and professional and provided valuable study tactics that she used in taking the exam. We had a terrific experience with JumpStart for our child. Matt was nicely transparent in the first meeting about process, about costs, and about how it all works -- not just scores but about the child's understanding their goals and how to achieve what they want. We had good tutors for Math and English and our child had a good rapport with them. Progress reports and metrics were very helpful. And, in the end, we had good test scores and have done well with applications for admissions. I appreciate their support.

Jump Start was perfect for my daughter. We were matched with appropriate, flexible and available (in line with our schedule) tutors for ELA and for math to prep for her high school entrance exam (ISEE). We made weekly appointments via group texts, she had structured homework to do on her own and she made tremendous progress, particularly in math. My daughter did very well on her exams, and she got into her first choice private high school in NYC and was offered a fantastic scholarship. Matt, the owner, checked in with me personally and frequently to assess my daughter's progress and to ensure we were happy and on track. I would highly recommend Jump Start to any rising freshman, and I expect we'll use them again for SAT prep in a few years.
