It is located in a weird area next to the Ramen section, and you also have to pass the cashiers. However, it will definitely be a time saver if you have just a few items to purchase.”

“I have been here occasionally for the past year, usually for small things like produce, milk, or meat. The price is more reasonable than the super foodtown nearby although the selection is more limited and certain items can be more expensive. The super low rating on yelp seems excessive. I have never have any unpleasant interaction with the people that worked there or other shoppers. The groceries seems more tailored to the Dominican population including some meats that you won't find in a typical grocery store like pig ear, ox tail, tripe, and I like it for that. I always got a good deal on avocadoes here, often less than a dollar each which is hard to find in New York nowadays. Most other packaged things are pretty typical for a grocery store, with typical prices. They occasionally have sales but not too often.”

“This WB is always clean and organized. Another great thing about this particular Western Beef is that they speak French! Go figure. It was great to be able to speak French while shopping! The staff is always pleasant and never too busy to check inventory to satisfy their customers. This Western Beef will have what other neighbouring supermarkets may have run out of: A few Thanksgivings ago, this WB was the only supermarket that had BEAUTIFUL COLLARD, MUSTARD, & KALE GREENS! While "Pathmark" is missed, this WB is really great. While it is a distance away, it is worth the walk!”

I was surprised that the dominican ladies who were working as cashiers in this supermarket were very polite and sweet with me ( I'm not Dominican). They actually were like that with everyone.
