“Our experience at O'Brien's was beyond our expectations! We knew we found our venue on our first tour and meeting with Dennis. Dennis and Cayleigh took the time to go over every detail to make sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of. The week of our wedding the weather called for rain and the O'Brien team assured us that they would do everything that could to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of and they did! Dennis even put a rosary in a bush to keep the rain away. Our guests still talk about the food and grounds. If you're looking for an outdoor venue where you can have your ceremony, photos, and reception in one place O'Brien's is the place! We just love it so much we want to hang out on the weekends with them. They are truly a wonderful family-owned hidden gem.”

“My friend and I were there for lunch The food was excellent. We had the butternut soup, quiche, and turkey jambalaya. They were kind enough to take my 97 year old friend back down the hill in their golf cart. We will definitely go there again.”

“I recently hosted a party at the Marygold Manor and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The venue was absolutely perfect, the service was top notch and the food was excellent. During the planning Jeremy Urbanski was amazing to work with. He was flexible, reachable when I had questions and was very attentive to all of my ideas, and I had many. I would highly recommend the Marygold Manor to anyone planning a special event. The party was a month ago and my friends and family are still talking about how great it was.”

“Shared a night to celebrate my sister's upcoming wedding, select a special wine for her big day, enjoy an evening with friend & receive a basic understanding of the wine making process. A wonderful, intimate place with fantastic proprietors. I highly recommend the fun even if you're not a wine drinker like myself. I lived it!!!!”

“There for a family wedding. The venue has a nice history and was perfect in an old world traditional sense. Room upstairs for the bridal party to prepare and the seating was adequate for 80-100 guests. The only part that was less than acceptable was the chairs were exceedingly uncomfortable.”

“The place is beautiful! They have great food. I have to be super careful as I need to eat gluten free and it was a work party so I treaded carefully with food but what I had was very good. Would be awesome for a wedding. They had a fire going on patio and it was beautiful! We had a beautiful night for mid Jan in Buffalo. Didn't need a coat! Go here and enjoy!!!”

“My visit to the tea room was an overall good experience, with a mix of highs and lows.Let's start with the sandwiches. The variety and flavors of the chicken salad, crab, egg, and cucumber sandwiches offered a satisfying range of tastes, from savory to refreshing. Oddly making them the highlight of the tea service because I’m particular about my sandwiches. Moving on to the scones. They had a crispy outside and soft inside and were served with delectable spreads like jam, cream, and lemon curd, they provided the perfect balance of sweetness and richness. Now, onto the dessert tier. The raspberry cheesecake stole the show with its decadent flavor and creamy texture, the rest of the desserts fell a bit short. Lastly, the tea itself was underwhelming. The absence of a tea warmer had my water cooling too quickly, diminishing the overall experience. Additionally, serving only bagged tea detracted from the authenticity and quality that one expects from a tea room. The ambiance was nice but I felt bad that there was only one server running the show. Overall, I may come back.”

“The VFW post is great for hosting events. They do car shows, fundraisers for Vets, and Polish-themed events regularly. Half of the venue is a bar setting (upstairs), the other half is like a banquet hall with tables, room to dance, a kitchen, and bathrooms. You can enter through the back entrance if going into the banquet hall, otherwise use the front entrance for the bar. There's only one bar so drinks need to be purchased upstairs. For drinks, they have a few domestic beers on tap, as well as a ton of bottles to choose from. Some domestic, some craft, and Tyskie. I also saw box wine on the counter. We came for the "1/2 Way to Dyngus Day Parry". There was a DJ playing Polish music, free Polish food (donations accepted), and 50/50. The food was very good and homemade. The hall was clean and the staff were friendly. I'd come back here for events in the future.”

“The price is good with a Hayat membership, the rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, and it is 30 minutes away from the waterfalls by car. Free parking and electric car charging are available, but! Breakfast is the worst I have ever had! Canned cheese and jam, paper plates, and artificial eggs that are not fresh. Breakfast is important! Hotels need to know this. Room cleaning was not good. Hair in the bathroom and bedding were not arranged well. There is no room service in the hotel ?”

“Been many years since I've been there .1st to know is the quality of the food is always the same because the owner works the kitchen. This place has an atmosphere that you must experience . This has the same feel as 716 downtown. It's a great place to watch a band without going deaf .”

“The hotel was very standard and typical for the brand. The employees here are what puts it over the top. From the front desk to housekeeping, I did not come across a single employee that did not enhance our stay. I will definitely be stopping by when in the area.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and of good size.Noteworthy details: The staff here is exceptional!”

“While stranded in Buffalo due to severe weather conditions, the hotel staff played a crucial role in easing our difficult situation caused by consecutive flight cancellations. They extended a generous offer, allowing us to prolong our stay at a remarkably reasonable nightly rate, well below the standard charge. The rooms were not only exceptionally spacious but also boasted modern amenities, enhancing our overall comfort during this unexpected and challenging period of uncertain and harsh weather.Throughout our extended stay in Buffalo, the hotel staff went above and beyond to assist us. They consistently provided valuable updates on travel bans, ensuring we were well-informed amid the challenging circumstances. Beyond that, they went the extra mile to arrange for our meals and ensure our comfort, making a significant difference during a period of uncertainty and travel disruptions.”

“Always stay here when I visit Buffalo. Rooms are great and the staff is always helpful. They don't offer continental breakfast but they do have a decent restruant and there's a Starbuck and Tim Hortons that are walkable.”

“Sunday Aug 6th, 2023A very comfortable stay made more affordable by offering 2 bedroom suites. We travel a lot to Buffalo to see shows at Shea's and we often bring Mom. Getting 2 rooms at a local hotel used to be affordable but lately, with the prices of everything skyrocketing, it's getting harder to stay in hotels. We checked out this hotel and found one 2bdrm suite was much cheaper than 2 rooms at the cheapest hotels in Buffalo. One room had two double beds, and the other had a queen. And each had their own bathroom & shower. The suite was very large, with a family area, and a full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, with lovely linens. There were plenty of pillows on each bed. The bathrooms were very spacious, and the shower was nice and high for tall people. there were plenty of towels and toiletries as well. There is a full buffet breakfast in the morning with coffee tea, eggs, bacon, yogurt, toast etc.The hotel has a nice gym with plenty of equipment, as well as a pool. This hotel is in need of some updates and renos, but this hotel is still very comfortable and clean. There was duct tape holding wallpaper and carpeting down in our room. Our room was adjacent to the boiler room, so there was a lot of noise. The room was pretty dark. The ice machine didn't work on our floor we had to go to a different floor.Overall, for a hotel of a certain age, the Hawthorne could use some updates, but for now, it is still a good night's stay.Other perks. Free onsite parkingPet-friendly hotel.”

“Beautiful place, good food variety, great salad bar and meats of the grill. The desserts were not typical for a Brazilian restaurant/churrascaria. Overall, very good. ??”
