You walk in and it feels like you’re about to make a cheshbon: Do I need something simple for Tuesday night… or are we talking Shabbos guests and I want to look like I know what I’m doing? The selection is serious. Kosher wines from all over, a beautiful range of price points, and a scotch/whiskey section that can make a person start saying “just one more bottle” like it’s a mitzvah. Whether you’re grabbing something reliable for weekly Kiddush, something nicer for Yom Tov, or a real kavod’dige bottle for a chasan, you’ll find it here — and you won’t feel like you’re guessing. What really makes it though is the staff. Real experts, real mentshen. They actually listen to what you want (“smooth,” “dry,” “not too sweet,” “I need a gift that won’t embarrass me,” etc.) and they guide you to the right thing בלי שטויות. Once inside, I was greeted by not only some of my known favorite wines, but plenty that were new to me as well. Each offering came paired with its own unique description and pairing notes.
