I came here for passion twists but I don’t think the stylist, Manefa, had much experience. At first she tried to close the ends with rubberbands and when I told her I didn’t like that, she complained that the hair was too silky. This was not my first time getting passion twists done nor using this brand of hair (I usually don’t get complaints because I research before coming) and had never seen a stylist use rubberbands. Usually they just twist to the ends. She knotted the ends as an alternative which wasn’t good either. Then she dipped the ends into hot water. The hair is cuban curl so I don’t believe that was necessary. Seems like she was just playing in my hair. Too lazy to even twist to the ends. What a waste of time and money this salon is.

I have had my hair styled by both stylist, and they were great. They are knowledgeable about hair care and listen to your needs. If you can't get an appointment with one, feel secure about selecting the other. The salon is kept clean and well managed.

DAMITA DAMITA DAMITA…THIS WOMAN RUINED MY HAIR!!Don't be fooled by the 4 point whatever stars. Simply read her reviews on what she's done to other women and how she dismisses them instead of taking accountability for her lack of knowledge and expertise of doing hair professionally. Realistically I could've done this myself and probably better.I recently visited this salon with high hopes, excited to get a new hair color inspired by a photo I loved. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The stylist lacked the expertise to handle my hair correctly, resulting in an uneven, orange, and yellow color with noticeable banding. The roots were left unsmudged and the overall blend was poor. The toning was barely there, leaving my hair dry, brittle, and far from the inspiration photo I provided. I was also charged for additional services I never agreed to. To make matters worse, my hair was bleached twice in one sitting, a practice I later learned is not recommended and can be damaging. It's disheartening that a professional would take such risks with a client's hair. I left the salon in tears, with a result that was nothing like what I asked for. The stylist, instead of being honest about her capabilities, seemed more focused on the money. This experience has left me with damaged hair and a heavy heart. I cannot recommend this salon and urge others to be cautious.

If I could give zero star. I would. I booked a shampoo and locs twist on the app. I went in and the lady does not know what they are doing. She could’ve turn me away. When she say that I need to cut the perm out. I thought she knew what she was doing instead she took four hours to cut my hair, trim, and it still came out horrible. I legit cried in the car and they overpriced. Trust me sis. Do not go there. They do not know what they are doing. Read the reviews. The reviews aren’t lying. That place is nothing but fraud. If you don’t provide a service please don’t have it up for people to book.

The lady cut my hair uneven, and way more than it needed. Messed up my hair so bad. Do not trust them to trim your hair. The lady was rude too. Overpriced as well. An extra $15 for the “trim” that was more like a hair cut. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I'll start by saying this used to be my go to salon for myself and my daughter. Not anymore. I actually Just hung up with Damita who in a mildly rude way told me that the price her stylist quoted was fair and reasonable because of all the detangling she had to do to my daughters hair. I paid $35 for the wash and blow dry so i thought That's what that was for? I requested feed in braids for my for my 13 year old. Her site has feed in braids prices between $40 and $120. At the max of $120 plus $35 for washing snd blow drying this style should have cost $155. I paid $185 for this style! You look at this style and tell me how much do you think it's worth? Never ever again! And the fact that Damita dealt with me in such of manner like she didn't even care!!!! I am absolutely furious and disgusted! Try them for yourself if you think it's worth it.

If you’re looking for stylists who have superior knowledge about the wide range of hair textures and how to bring out our natural beauty through a gamut of styles and techniques, you need to visit Lavish Beauty Salon. The owner, Damita, is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about what products work best on hair that would make many other stylists intimidated by. Her colleague, Tameka, is also highly skilled at making your hair look and feel like something special. Bless the day I was referred by a cashier at a local beauty supply store to check them out. The three main ways I like to wear my thick, wavy/course textured hair is in Rod-curl styles, blow dried straight or most often, with a protective twist-out style since my hair is natural. I’ve poured precious hours of my life into watching curly girl YouTube videos to educate myself on hair care, but learned more from talking with Damita in a couple visits than all of those videos combined. The verdict is in, all three of my favorite styles came out far better than I could’ve expected or done on my own. Her product line was perfect for leaving my hair feeling clean, soft, shiny and able to move and flow like real hair should! Both my mom (in her 70’s) and myself, we’re so happy to have found this salon. Even their website is easy to use, and when I had to call a few times regarding an appointment we booked or to inquire about the product line, their receptionist was above average in professionalism and knowledge about their products! As busy women, we tend to get so caught up in taking care of the needs of everyone around us, that it can feel strange to splurge on yourself once in a while— but when your hair looks good, you can’t help but feel better about yourself, and ultimately, feeling beautiful winds up making others around you feel like it’s OK to feel beautiful too. So go do something nice for the world, and get your hair done! Damita and Tameka will be ready for you ;).Service: Hairstyling

Just discovered this place and been there twice already. These ladies knows what they are doing when it comes to black natural women hair. When I get my hair washed they are very gentle and they don't rip or pull my hair when they are combing through my hair. I've gotten a silk press twice and they did such a great job. This will be my new hair salon from here on out.

I had a booked appointment for 2:30 and din't sit in the chair till 3:00. I would understand 5-10 minutes behind but it was 30 minutes. While getting my hair done I was switched out with another client twice. I had tribal braids done and the box braids in the back are some of the worst that I've had done. And the ends of my braids are horrible. I now have to spend time to redo them for no reason when I had paid to get my hair done. The only thing I should do to my hair is maintain it not redo the ends. The stylist didn't even bother to cut the ends sticking out of the braids after putting them in hot water. The service I booked was a $100 but I paid $165 for it outrageous because that's how mush I pay for a full head of medium size box braids. And out of $165, 65 dollars of that was for miscellaneous services. I came to my appointment early with my hair in hand and washed hair. The only thing extra she did was blow out my hair but she only did it for a minute. so there was no need for the extra charge of $65. If it was $20 at most I wouldn't be complaining about it. In essence I went in with high hopes because I was recommend to go there by a family friend and she loves going there. But for me it is a one and done visit and I won't recommend this salon to anyone.
