About The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center
The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center is a popular thrift store known for its wide selection, fair prices, and helpful staff. The manager, William, is described as incredible, upbeat, and charismatic, with a staff that respects and appreciates him. The store accepts a variety of donated items, making it a convenient option for those looking to declutter. While some customers have had positive experiences, finding good-quality items at great prices, others have criticized the store as overpriced and predatory. Overall, the Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center seems to be a mixed bag, with both loyal supporters and disgruntled customers.
It has good quality of items but can be a hit or miss if looking for specialty items. They take in almost everything at Elmont location except large furniture pieces. For large items go to the Front street location.

The staff is excellent, I go there every day because the staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. Especially William and another lady who wears glasses, who transferred from the Front Street store to the Elmont store - she is really outstanding. That lady should also be a manager at the Front Street store 😊

Should not allow people with full on ski mask to shop there. Felt uneasy and left.
