Terrible customer service!! Mattew declined servicing me still didn’t figure why! They cancelled reservation without any prior notice.

First of all, I had to wait for the one-person staff to return from "helping other customer" before I could enter the office. Worst, their choice of vehicle was limited to only 5 cars!! None of which was premium luxury. Only used them because they were the "primary service renter" of the third party insurance company repairing my vehicle.

So I arrived here at 4pm and found this note at the door. I waited 20 minutes and no one showed up. I went home, dropped off some food and came back it's now 5:24pm and I decided to take a picture of the sign and write this review. This location either has a serious staffing problem or someone decided to go shopping while on the clock. Management definitely needs to get involved. This is not how you run a business. This place clearly states at the window "closes at 6pm"

The Hertz in Elmsford at 54 N Saw Mill river rd is horrible! The customer service is horrible and they just want to pass you off to someone else, who doesn't help either. I was covered for my rental through State Farm insurance from the person who had hit my car. Hertz ended up charging me for things I didn't even need or ask for. I drive less than 5 miles a day to work and I am covered with my insurance so why would I ask for the bumper to bumper coverage? They also told me that state farm didn't cover me for one day of my rental, which is not true because I had the car for 3 days and not 5. I spoke to State Farm and they said they paid everything. I don't mind paying any taxes but not for things that I wasn't supposed to be charged for. I suggest that you do not use this location because you might end up with hidden fees or lies of things not being covered.

This is the first time am using Hertz at this location. It was a horrible experience. I had a business reservation confirmed last friday. Just before the pickup time, I called up the location to arrange for a pickup, where I was leisurely there was no car available and the Hertz confirmation has been scrapped. All the plans collapsed due to this. Had to make urgent alternate arrangements with Enterprise to get forward. The worst this was this was a corporate reservation. I had already updated our management regarding this experience and made sure there is no more reservations from our organization at this location goes to Hertz. Before reserving a vehicle from this location make sure have alternate arrangements, they can oversell just to make additional money.

My reservation and confirmation was cancelled at the last moment. Then I found that they always oversell and cancel your reservation. You will get it noticed only at the last minute, when you try to pickup. Literally frustrating experience. Never ever will make reservation again at this location.

All i can say is i dont know why i didnt save myself the trouble. i had already heard not so great things about this particular location. i reserved a car yesterday for today. Today i come all the way from philly 2 1/2 hours buy i metro north ticket get on the metro get halfway there and my phone rings with news that theres no more cars. The rep explains to me that the system will just continue to book cars even if there are no more cars. So now who will refund me my bus ticket money and my metro north ticket money. The absolute worst experience/service with a company ever. Do not waste your time with this place

I was very happy with the service received here at this location. I needed to rent a car as mine was hit in a parking lot. They arranged to have a driver pick me up at the car dealer and my car was ready for me. Everything was explained in detail. I had forgotten my EZPass tag and there was one in the car. The guys were very professional and explained info in detail. Very happy with the service received.

Pick and drop off had been fast and easy. It's a two-month long term rental with collision insurance. First Car hit a pothole and was towed. I was offered with another car at white plains airport. Overall it works out fine but could have been better informed and communicated. Emergency roadside service is extra charge.

I was very impressed with the service from the folks working here as well as the car I had for 10 days-it was better than mine. They made sure I understood everything, offered me to get a ride to and back to my car dealer to pick up my repaired vehicle. Their car even came with EZPass. I would recommend them! Thanks guys!

Worst ever experience with renting vehicles. I placed resrvation in the afternoon and went to pick up in the evening, the representative informed that there are no vehicles available. Ideally a professional service would call and inform ahead that they are out of vehicles. Also their phone number doesn't work.
