Pink Pig Café combines the best of a local gem and a foodie destination. If you’re in Essex, it’s absolutely worth a stop. Whether you’re craving a well-crafted drink, a hearty breakfast, or just some fun banter with Deb and Fred, this place delivers. Highly recommended!

Delicious slice of NY! The quiche and caprese sandwich was sooo good, and served up by a wonderfully salty New Yorker from the city. Queens? Loved her and the food!

Super cute little spot, you should definitely stop if you are in Essex. We stayed at the Airbnb right above it and visited for breakfast in the morning. The BEC (bacon egg cheese) bagel with avocado was delicious and hit the spot, I literally couldn’t wait to eat it before I took a picture. The owner even brought us some fresh strawberries to enjoy. The boutique had plenty of interesting items too.

Without a doubt the best place for breakfast around. Their BEC bagel is out of this world. The best I had and I am from New York City so that’s a lot to say.
Debb & Fred are superb, amazing hosts and great souls.

Debbie was easy and fun to talk with. I reached out after an online order. My lavender oil arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. She shared great information about the maker I and gave a whole hearted sell on her town. This Austinite may make my way there!

If you are in the Adirondacks near Essex, the Pink Pig is an absolute must! Sitting right on main street overlooking lake Champlain are you're two new best friends you won't regret saying hello too! The smell of coffee and and a breakfast sandwich as you walk in with a view of the lake from the tables in the back. The front of the store is filled with natural products hand picked by Debb with care and intent. Honeys, herbal teas, art work and plenty more! We checked out the beautiful boutique that's was next door! The treasures that are in her shop are amazing! The home decor and art work was beautiful. We enjoyed every minute with our new friends! Their love of Philadelphia helped immensely, it was like a touch of home lol we can't wait to make another trip back up! It was an awesome stop on our way home.

The food is delicious and the setting is just right for a quick stop near the ferry or to hang out on the front porch and enjoy the Essex sunshine. Our kids loved it too.

They must have had to grow the wheat to make the bagel that my Mom ordered that’s how long it took. The Cow must have passed out too because they basically forgot to put cream cheese on it. Owner was extremely disrespectful to the other individual working with her. This is coming from someone with years of experience in the service industry. Absolutely unacceptable behavior as a boss. I hope whoever has to work for her can find a better situation soon. Americano was great though! That’s why I decided to give 2 stars instead of one. Again the OTHER people that work there seem to be great. The owner however was extremely rude, condescending and making excuses for her poor behavior. “I’m only one person!” does not give you the right to treat others poorly.

Deb and the team run a great little joint! I play the piano that I bought and moved into there (thanks Deb for paying for the move!) and it is so much fun to hang out in the little L side room where the cafe sits (the main Emporium building is the boutique with antiques and other cool stuff).
I've never tried the food really but Freddie (Deb's husband) makes a damn good burger and the tacos, I hear, are awesome! The Barn Door tavern is right next door too so you can get good food and good beer without walking more than 30 feet! (look it up, I wrote a review on that one as well)
(additional edit from my most recent experience: Coffee is fantastic here but beware, it is VERY VERY POTENT. At the time of writing I'm flying on a coffee buzz that could get me to LA in 5 minutes, so just keep that in mind xD)

A tiny place with delicious home made scones, muffins and quiche. They also custom make breakfast sandwiches! If they are open -- do NOT pass it by!
