In fact, there were some things I thought I needed done and they told me they weren’t necessary. James is awesome and extraordinarily knowledgeable. I was in Rochester, NY over the “Weekend” for my son’s hockey tournament. On Saturday morning, as I was pulling into the ice rinks parking lot, I noticed a very loud noise. It almost sounded like my muffler was dragging on the cement. I was completely stunned, as I drive a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, which only has 39,000 miles on it. I turned off my engine, and typed in Google, “What’s the closest auto body shop to me?” A place called, “North Coast Service Center” in Fairport, NY came up, as it was only 3 miles away from the rink. I called North Coast Service Center in a panic, as I live in NJ, and was worried about getting my son and I home on Sunday. A guy named Steve in service answered my call. I informed him of what I was experiencing, and he said that because it’s Saturday morning, they have a full day of customers, BUT, please bring your vehicle in, so we can at least find out what the issue is. I drove my car to their shop, where James the manager of North Coast greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. James and his mechanics, Steve & Chuck took a look at my car and said, wow, this is a very rare problem you have. We’re not sure we can even get the parts from Cadillac? James, the manager took it upon himself to call Cadillac to see if they had the parts. Cadillac said they did not have the parts, but did have them at an offsite warehouse. James literally drove to this warehouse two times to locate the necessary parts to get my car fixed. Additionally, Steve & Chuck we’re supposed to be done with work at 11:00am on Saturday, and ended up staying until 6:30pm to complete my job! I can honestly tell you that North Coast Service Center came through for me, as I was in a real bind. Not only did they get the job done, but you could tell their pride was on the line, as they legitimately love what they’re doing. If anyone in the Rochester area is having car issues, I would strongly recommend North Coast Service Center. They were truly amazing!!Service: Engine repair

I had a terrifying drive on the Thruway yesterday. Coming from East of Syracuse to Pittsford for a doctors appointment. The roads were dry. Yet about ten miles into my drive in heavy traffic my front tires were making the most horrific sound. There was no shaking of the vehicle. When I went to leave from my appointment, the issue was even worse. I connected Google Maps to find me the closest, highest rated service shop. 5 Stars ? does not even come close to the professionalism of the crew. I think that 10 to 20 stars would be more accurate. They took care of a distraught old woman who was not a local customer with grace and kindness. I grew up helping my father working on our vehicles. So if I take it to a shop, I expect the same attention to detail.This vehicle was not mine. It's a 2011 Jeep Liberty. This vehicle was just inspected by my, now former dealership. A Jeep Dealership. The front wheels were not put back on properly, they were not wire brushed to make sure that the tires would be seated correctly after the inspection. I am incredibly grateful to EVERYONE here who fixed this issue. They probably saved my life. Thank you. Thank you so much for fixing the problem.~ C. Giroux

This place is top notch in my book, they got me in for a complete brake job on my daughters car and keep the price down. I was on a tight schedule and they did there magic and got the job done. this place will get our business for sure.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The whole process was a nightmare. Buying the car here, then fixing the car, I have never seen a more poorly run car dealer, and that is saying something. They put a new engine in my vehicle, multiple loose bolts, didn’t attach 2 different sensors, lied and said I needed a cat. converter and at the end of it started swearing and the owner told me he wants to fight me because of returning a loaner vehicle back without filling the tank which was an honest mistake I would have gladly paid for. the worst most unprofessional business I have ever walked into. DO NOT EVER GO HERE.

I will not let anyone but North Coast touch my vehicles. James and his staff are fantastic. Not only can they fix anything, they will give you options on how to proceed depending on your budget, etc. As weird as it sounds, I actually look forward to having to bring my vehicles in. The proprietor, who I did not recognize as such, thinking him perhaps a mechanic, was working at the counter, on the phone, and in the office. During the time I was there I got to hear how he treated multiple vendors and multiple customers, both on the phone and in person, during what I was surprised to later learn was a very professionally stressing time due to the actions of an unscrupulous individual (my assessment of the person, not his). I talked with him about various major repairs where he had a large assortment of demonstration parts to help explain. I hesitated to mention that because it was such an incredibly useful differentiator over any other garage I've seen that I almost felt like I should keep it a trade secret or something. So in this way I not only understood the repair, I understood he had a wealth of practical experience and knew what he was talking about. I know cars, but I don't let that out. It was clear to me that this is an honest person who does right to earn your business. When I need my BMW serviced, I plan to come here again.

James and Brian took excellent care of us. They got us in right away, listened attentively to the problem and.went through the brake system thoroughly going the extra mile grinding the sliders to eliminate a sceeching noise. The guys at North Coast Service Center go above and beyond! I took my car in to get my wheel bearing replaced on my Subaru Forester. Jamie discovered one of my rear coil springs had snapped. Before even telling me, they went ahead and called Subaru and found out that the springs were under a safety recall and that they would replace them for free. North Coast could have just suggested repairing it themselves without even suspecting a recall or checking with Subaru, but they went the extra mile to look further into the issue and saved me a good amount of money. That is what you call honest, intelligent and thorough service that inspires trust. Thank you, Jamie and North Coast! You guys are top notch!Services: Brakes

My father recently stopped by North Coast Service Center to see about getting an appointment to have a scratch down the side of his vehicle repaired. Much to his surprise James came out, looked at the vehicle and did the repair right on the spot. The kindness that was shown to my father by James is truly appreciated. Instead of potentially trying to take advantage of an elderly person, James did the opposite and treated him with respect and kindness. The car looks fantastic and we cannot thank him enough. I highly recommend them and I know we have now found a repair shop where we will be treated fairly and receive great service.Again, a huge thank you to James!

James and the guys at North Coast were great to work with. I took my truck in to have the back-up camera fixed and they also fixed my trailer wiring plug! James didn't just tell me what was wrong or how I could fix it, he grabbed the tools and spent the time to do it himself and make sure it was working! That's the kind of extra effort that will keep me coming back!Service: General repairs & maintenance
