Matthew was initially very responsive, and his team came out quickly and did fine work on our basement. But then they started to come out sporadically, and after finishing about 80% of the job (leaving several major parts unfinished), they completely stopped coming. We were told the project should be done by the end of summer 2023, and I’m writing this in March 2024 where it's been over three months since anyone came out to do any work. Now Matthew does not answer calls, texts, or emails (I even tried visiting their office, but found no one there). I have an unfinished project and absolutely no way of getting a response from the owner. So despite the initially positive experience, I can’t recommend this company.

Someone driving their van was on the phone and ran a red light and almost killed me. It's illegal to talk on the phone without being hands free. And they had that phone glued to their ear. The best part was the scowl he gave me when I laid on the horn. Will never recommend Spartacus to anyone.

Spartacus was such a great company to work with. We had our basement finished off by them and we couldn’t be more happy. The owner was so quick to answer any questions we had before and during the process (sometimes it takes forever to get in contact with a contractor, not these guys)! The team as a whole was professional, efficient with their time and always kept their work space clean and organized. When everything was said and done we were blown away by the quality of work. Everything was meticulously finished, I wish we had done it sooner! We will 100% work with Spartacus again! If you are looking for a company for a project, this is the one!!!!!!!!

We have worked with Spartacus Construction and have never been disappointed. Attention to detail is their strength and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that their work is done perfectly. They have helped us remodel a bathroom and most recently, install a french door to our deck. We are so thankful that we found Spartacus and will most certainly do work with them again.Services: Home renovations

We contacted Spartacus for our basement finishing and they are the absolute best. The whole team is extremely professional and their work is flawless. Matt and his Team did an amazing job on my project! They framed in the room that needed and they did it quickly, efficiently, and professionally!! I would recommend this company to family and friends (I already have!) and to anyone that wants quality work done Once and Done Right!!!! Do yourself a favor and pick up the phone and call them today!!! A++++++++ You will not be disappointed!!!

STAY AWAY from this company. The owner, Matt Hodge, hires the WORST subcontractors ever.They started like gang-busters, then faded and Matt was unresponsive. He then wanted to "walk-off" the job if I paid him $9000 for work done. So much was done poorly that he ended up owing me $15,000 - (Like I'll ever see that money - not holding my breath) Take a look at the posted pics, you won't believe it.

If anyone is looking for a Bathroom remodel, roofing, siding or addition job. I highly, highly, highly recommend Spartacus Construction Inc.. 5 Stars. I won't let anyone touch my house again after these guys.Matt and his entire team are fantastic.I'm very, very particular about work being done on my house. These guys remodeled my 1956 bathroom down to studs in the time quoted. I also received a very fair price for the work and quality of work done.They were also very, very, very clean. We have a 10 month old and couldn't have a mess. Matt and his team took the time put plastic up all over my house and enclose my bathroom so we weren't left with a giant mess when they left.Give these guys a ring before they get slammed this summer if you need some work done. Going to drop some before and after pictures below.Matt and his family are also local to Fairport if you're into supporting other local businesses.

This company is a life/house saver! We contacted them to do a vent in our roof for a new oven hood. While getting a quote, they discovered that the roof the flipping company we bought the house from did not do it correctly and we had old rotting plywood underneath. They were able to squeeze our project into their already busy schedule and complete the job in just two and a half days. Cleaned as they worked, every member of the team was kind and courteous, and worked efficiently. I couldn't be happier about who we hired to do the job. Saved us tons and tons by catching that roof problem.
