I went into the Fairport branch today (June 30th, 2023 around 1PM) to pay off my car loan and the heavyset woman behind the counter was incredibly rude and abrasive and unhelpful. When I asked how to pay off the loan she responded curtly and treated me like I was stupid. In fact everyone behind the counter looked unhappy, no one smiled. I ended up going to another branch in Brighton to pay it off, they did everything for me including look up the loan and fill out the ticket for me, all I had to do was write the check and hand it to them but the woman at the Fairport branch couldn't be bothered to do the same even though it took all of 2 minutes and there was NO ONE else in line behind me. In the future I suggest treating everyone with courtesy, despite what they look like. I’m pretty sure you know what I’m referring to. This branch is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This all happened a month ago and no one has bothered to respond to my complaint. Indicative of the fact that they just don’t care about how they treat their customers.

Have been trying for 2 weeks to receive any paperwork or emails back from them. Don't know how I'm suppose to pay my loan if they never told me how to access it.

First off I called and got a menu that takes you nowhere but back to the start menu. Second of all the online view of my account changed. Could not see my credit card statements or credit card transactions at all. I went to my branch and the person I spoke with had no idea why and called the help desk. Took close to 45 min. and no one knew why. I was then told to get the Summit Visa app from playstore. Which I did. Ok. So I came home and played with my cell till I found a roundabout way of getting my original online view of my account. Not the way I did it for years. When I checked my transactions, I noticed something that was oddly missing on the app transactions list and the original online list of credit card transactions before they shut that part down. Transaction says 5/27 PLEASE BE ADVISED YOUR 3.9% RETAIL PURCHASES RATE WILL END 06/27/2022.. Well that's strange because in yesterday's mail I rec'd my MAY credit card statement. I guess they decided to end my 3.9% rate early! It is now 6.75% on my MAY statement. AND this MAY statement also warns me "PLEASE BE ADVISED YOUR 3.9% RETAIL PURCHASES RATE WILL END 06/27/22" Even though this same MAY statement (not June!) charged me 6.75%!! for retail purchases. I guess they think we who are over a certain age are all idiots!

I have been a member of Summit Credit Union for over 30 years. My husband passed away suddenly and they were very harsh and cold with our finance handling. I was the sole beneficiary executor and fiduciary but they said since he was primary on our joint account it had to be closed and I had to open a new account instead of just removing his name. In the confusion of switching accounts they charged me over $700 in convenience fees and refused to back down. The removed approx. 200 but I had to cover the rest of this money making fee charging! When it push came to shove they transferred the remaining 528 in fees from MY single account from the account they claimed I couldn't keep because he was primary. STAY AWAY! NOT A PEOPLE FIRST BANK! I will be switching banks as soon as I get the rest of the estate settled!

This is the second time y'all gave me the incorrect Direct Deposit account number. My new debit card doesn't even work and I just got it a month ago. I have gotten locked out of my app 4 times and I know my password. Stop playing with my $$.

I've been using Summit for over 5 years and they've always been good to me. They've serviced a past mortgage, auto, and personal loans of mine and I've never had any issues.

... and it just gets WORSE! To others thinking about doing business with Summit FCU, I recommend... ANY... OTHER Federal Credit Union. I'd even recommend Wells Fargo over the Summit FCU! My old, delinquent account was moved to a collection agency which was subsequently paid off in full. Despite proof that I paid off this old balance in full, the Summit claimed that I still owed this balance to the credit reporting agencies when I filed the protests. I have turned my financial life around but the Summit FCU is the one chink in my chain still f-ing me over! In other words, Summit accepted payment from EOS CCA (a collection agency that purchases debts) AND now they also want me to pay the same balance which EOS CCA paid to take ownership of (and were paid for). Yeah. Absolutely not!

The staff goes above and beyond. They remember your name, past situations and even follow up with you via phone call. Stellar example as a business.

My favorite branch to visit. The staff is fantastic here. They are always helpful and efficient. One of the most personable financial branches you will ever enter.
