He has been in Queens Village for over four decades.Yesterday out of curiosity, I went to a distributor in Maspeth to get price on 4 ea. of a hex head cap screw and a flange nut. Come to find out the distributor sells by the pack. Screws were $23 / pack of 50 ea. Nuts were $20 / pack of 100 ea. Bruce sold me the four I needed for $2.It never fails to support small businesses in the neighborhood. I am and will always be a customer for life.Thank you!”

Sherwin-Williams is located on the busiest block in Forest Hills and when I realized they had curbside delivery I called the office and the gentleman that answered the phone was very pleasant and was able to deliver my paint to me while I was waiting in the car. “Ace Hardware of Baldwin is my local hardware store. They might not be the cheapest but they certainly are friendly and helpful. Just as like many local businesses in these times, they seem to be undergoing a bit of a staffing shortage at the moment, so patience is key if you're in a rush. Major shoutout to Lisa. She was my local superhero the other day. She saw me combing the isles and asked if I needed help. I told her what I needed and she then managed to cut the highest gauge chain they had available, using the stores finicky hydraulic cutting machine. At about 4 feet worth, it felt as heavy duty as my Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Chain that I currently have wrapped around my moped. And for only $29, t'was significantly cheaper. Oh and they never yell at me when I walk around the store with my bike or electric scooter in tow.”

I haven't seen this place since the pandemic started and wasn't sure it survived.Made sure to pay the parking meter its quarter (cuz the police station is very close). And told them about my google searches that said "having a good key copied without the dealer is near impossible". Steve (the son) said no problem and said it'll be under $100 and started to work, always checking in on me updating me on what he's doing."Key's done".I test it out in my car and came back in paid, and left. Flabbergasted, on my drive home remembering how I had just went to HD stood in front of the key machine for 15 minutes after asking for help and just walked away accepting this is normal.”
