“Amazing staff, they are so nice and sweet the managers Nick and Spencer try to accommodate as much as possible and really make the store a welcome place for kids and adults. Even when some of the customers are rude and nasty the staff stay calm and don't engage. I watched a customer scream at the employees for no reason at all and the staff literally said im sorry youre having a hard day. When the person walked out I said how did you stay so calm and the employee said I think its just the heat or she must be having a bad day. You can't make somone fake being that compassionate they just are really good people dealing with a lot of difficult situations with poise and character.”

“Please shop local and support this incredible store! Recently I stopped by The Learning Tower to purchase birthday gifts for my 5 and 7 year old nieces. The two extremely knowledgeable women working helped me choose the perfect games for my shy niece. These games help with reading, thinking and promote speaking to other players. It’s so nice to walk into a store where the staff knows the product, makes really good recommendations, and are able to answer all of my questions.”

“I visit the five below in lake Grove frequently and have never had an issue the staff is always friendly the store is always clean. Today(10/24/26) I stopped in to make a return around 5pm and the two employees working were absolutely incredible, I was blown away! I really wish I took the time to ask them their names because they were fantastic and deserve to be recognized. Not only were they both incredibly polite, and very helpful to me and everyone else shopping but they were constantly working (reorganizing shelves, assisting customers with self check out, helping with pick up orders) and going out of their way to offer extra assistance to everyone in the store! Its incredibly rare to see this level of customer service these days and these two were absolute stars!! I really hope five below management reads these reviews and acknowledges them both.”

“What an amazing children’s store. Cottontail’s of Stony Brook has beautiful children’s clothing from newborn and up, unique toys, books and fun gifts and so much more. I walked around and couldn’t take it all in and I know I didn’t see everything. For a relatively small store, they have such a great selection. I was looking for a gift and changed my mind three times because I couldn’t stop looking at the next thing. I settled on swim trunks with a swim shirt and a teething ring. I was pleasantly surprised that they gift wrap too. I made my purchase. The two women who worked there were very pleasant, offered assistance, but allowed me to browse without any interruption. This is a cute find and I know I’ll be back there soon.”
