Nice shop. A lot of higher end products. They also have a fish fry on Friday. Friendly staff. Parking.....lots!

This grocery store is a typical grocery store. It's clean, decently stocked and ok variety. I've had hit or miss as far as customer service here. The woman at the service desk in the morning is great but other women in the produce section have been less than willing to help. The prices are much better here than Wegmans but the variety just isn't as great. It is more a matter of what you prefer.

Well here I am again. Just five and a half years since I wrote last. Not much has changed yet. Of the items I usually get, Wegmans regular prices are cheaper than TOPS. Even some of the TOPS sales prices are more than Wegmans regular prices. TOPS does have good sales, but you have got to watch the prices and compare As you noticed I've added a star to my rating for TOPS.

My only other Tops experience is the one in the one-market town where I went to high school. It's nice to know what a better Tops is like, though this place would still have a long way to go to compete with familiar names like Wegman's and Price Chopper. The selection is reasonable and well organized. The store is fairly clean. The prices are way above average, even for their own store brands (for example I paid the same price for a 1-liter bottle of their store brand seltzer as I would for a 2-liter bottle of Hannaford's seltzer). They have 4 self-serve checkouts, but only 3 of them worked. One advantage this store has over a behemoth like Wegman's is that shopping here feels more like a real trip to a grocery score than an adventure or excursion.

Tried to charge me $9.49 for a frozen pizza that is on sale for $4.49. Last week my wife was overcharged for coffee, $7.49 instead of the marked $4.49. Bonus cards were scanned on both transactions. Once is a mistake, twice.... Good luck Tops. Never again.

Whew, certainly not up to snuff. Went with my mom while visiting. A day or so before she had picked up some beautiful green beans. We needed more so at Topps we were able to get some dried out looking beans (yeah, we cherry picked) but they still look nasty, especially when next o the 2 day old Wegmans beans. Also noted a slightly unpleasant order from around the meat area. Not exactly something that entices you to get a steak or something. Nice people, overpriced and just not great. Fayetteville deserves a little better.

Shop there often. I can get everything I need and be out of there in a short time. Staff is always helpful and go out of their way to be of service. Store is clean and well laid out. Can get good deals on weekly specials.

Tops is a hard sell when you can drive to Wegmans right down the road. They are making a nice effort in CNY to make their stores more appealing (have re-modeled this store, Manlius, and Cazenovia stores) but they still fail in several key areas: *service - employees, or lack of them, aren't always helpful and there are never enough lanes open *price - I always seem to spend more here *games - they always have games or things going on that seem to slow down checkout - I don't want to get a monopoly piece - I just want my groceries! I will say the stores are clean and with the remodels seem modern. My last complaint - WHYYYYYY are their receipts like 10 miles long??? They waste so much paper!!!!

Hideously overpriced, except their sale or two-fer items. Ridiculously overpriced. I went in with my elderly mom so she could stock up on some things as a winter storm was a'brewing. Mom buys the exact same items every shopping trip wherever she goes. We were there for 15 minutes just looking, and Mom said, you know, I don't think I have enough money with me. Can we go to the bank? I said, we'll do you one better, we'll go to Wegmans where we should have gone in the first place. So we did. Nothing 'wrong' with Tops, really - just very, very expensive, from bread to canned goods to a pack of gum - you WILL pay more.
