“Manor Motors is a Sullivan County/Livingston Manor based mechanics shop. They are open early, are quick to pick up the phone, and are a special kind of neighborhood friendly.
We had a bit of car trouble on my way from Brooklyn to the Catskills. We called ahead to make an appointment and our car had a full review, all fluids topped off, tire pressure checked, and an oil change. They found the source of my worry and had it adjusted. Everything was done in under an hour and a half, I got a neat invoice with all the points, and I got my little oil change sticker.

“Great service. I needed 2 tires that i bought from Walmart put on the rims. Everyone I took my car to refused to do it because I didn't purchase the tires through them. I called J&S on July 3rd he told me he had a 1030 am opening on July 4th to bring them In. By 11:15 am i was driving off the lot headed home. They have 1 quilality most shops lack today and that's honesty. I Plan on Taking my car in the future for another repairs I might have”

“Ever hear of an Honest Mechanic? John Pavese first earned my respect 10 years ago when I brought in my then-new Nissan Sentra with the service light on. Nissan of Middletown said mice ate the wires and I needed a new 02 sensor- $350.00!! I was dubious so brought it to Pavese's. John called me into the bay and showed that only one wire was cut clean through, probably a rock flew up just right and severed it. He soldered it and charged 26.00, my light was out and I was thankful. Fast forward 10 years and I brought my same junkie rusted noisy Sentra in to fix it up so I could sell it on Autotrader. He recommended not putting one more penny into it, "take it to the dealer and trade it in". Even when I almost begged him to fix the noises so I could drive it until I trade it in, he would not do so as he stood by his advice. Find another mechanic that would NOT happily take your money!”

“I was on a 4 hour road trip yesterday with my 4 year old and 1 year old when halfway to our destination, I noticed pretty significant low pressure in one of my tires. When I stopped for gas, I checked the tire and sure enough there was a nail in the tire - I could hear air gushing out. At this point I didn’t know where I was - I was just so worried because I was traveling alone with my kids. I knew I needed to fill it up with air and head to the nearest auto repair shop with my hazards on. I called Babich’s and the owner agreed to take me even though it was close to closing time on a Friday. I arrived and he took me as quickly as he could - he definitely stayed a bit late just to check and fix the tire for me. While waiting for the car, my kids and I were chatting to the other owner, Mrs. Babich who made us feel very at ease in the office. Mr. Babich came out and told me that the car was ready and safe to drive. I went to pay and he said “no way, go ahead you’re all set.” I was in disbelief, “please,” I said. “I want to pay you…. you did me a favor.” But he refused and sent me on my way. He and his wife explained that they have kids and grandkids and I don’t know…. maybe they saw a busy mom on her own who was worried… maybe they’re just good people … or maybe they are people of faith who do kind things like this without giving it a second thought…. All I know is that it moved me and when I called my worried mom, then my worried sister, then my worried grandma, and finally my worried dad…(lol) I got emotional on the phone with them as told them about the nice people who fixed my car and did a stranger a huge favor. I just kept saying “it was such a frustrating and scary ordeal but I’m happy it happened because it’s why I got to meet those wonderful people.” I’ll never forget it and it’s a great reminder that there is still plenty of good out there!!

I'm an older woman living on a limited income and I could not have gotten better service at a better price anywhere else but here. I was treated as a priority, not just a fender bender by his mechanics who kept me in the loop about everything they were doing. The price for the job Bill charged me was "compassionate" and not just about making a dollar. If I could give his business and the people who work here 10 stars, I would. Good people, lots of integrity.”
