“Actual antique store with actual antiques. However this is a SMALL store. Basically one small room completely overflowing with objects. Organization is minimal. Will say they have a good selection of vintage and antique sterling silver pieces. And a small section of costume jewelry. They had some houseware and cookware. Also had a few pocket watches that caught my eye. In the end nothing called to me but the owners were decently friendly.”

“I recently traded in some silver coins at Vieira and I feel that he gave me a very fair price. He explained what everything was worth, and also explained what things would be worth if they were in different conditions or had different dates/mint marks. His inventory is relatively small but he does have some interesting pieces, and I was easily able to find a coin I liked that was similar in value to what I was trading in.”

“Anthony is shockingly honest. I have sold many items to him and I have never left without feeling guilty that he did not take enough of a cut for himself. He has referred me to other trustworthy individuals across the city. He should be the first and last place you visit.”

“Feel like walking through time to your childhood or even further back in time? This is the ultimate place to do that! They have comics, records, toys, pins and so much more from decades ago to the present day. The staff are friendly and want to help you find anything that catches your fancy. It’s also nice to walk around the neighborhood of City Island . It feels like a small part of New England in the Bronx! The store and the island feel like a cool open secret here in NY. Highly recommend!”

“Such a beautiful store. Diverse selection. Multiple times I've gone they've had history titles I had been casually looking for elsewhere without luck - and for a decent price. Staff helpful.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Bedford Galleries! We bought seven beautiful antique pieces, and each one was delivered with such care — they even polished everything before bringing it over. The furniture is absolutely stunning and very reasonably priced. Everyone we dealt with was so kind and professional. Couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to shop there again!”

Everything is 50% off, please come into this charming and beautifully stocked store! Gorgeous items, dresses, jewelry, decorations. All at Unbeatable prices! All bought from Tibet and Nepal! Ask the owner about anything and he'll tell you what it's made of and if it has history. Lovely guy who deserves a good vacation with his wife so help him out and clean out the store!”

“I stopped by this shop today and was warmly greeted by an older gentleman named Larry, who seemed to be enjoying the sunshine with a cigar in hand outside. He kindly approached me and asked how he could help. I explained that I needed to rewire a vintage lamp, and without hesitation, he brought me to the back of the shop and got right to work. Within just a couple of minutes, he figured out the issue. it turned out to be a simple fix and even took a moment to teach me about two-way light sockets.

He had a kind, no-nonsense demeanor that I’d describe as serious and friendly. His presence reminded me of classic Italian warmth, which I found comforting. Because the repair was so quick and straightforward, he wouldn’t even accept any payment, despite my offer. He insisted it was no trouble at all.

It was such a touching reminder that there are still genuinely kind people out there. I’m truly grateful for his generosity and would absolutely recommend this place to others.”

“My table lamp switch had become loose, and would not work. I took the lamp to Illumine, and was attended to by Luca. In a few minutes, he repaired it efficiently, and i was able to bring it home with me. Luca was most pleasant, and the store is attractive, with a variety of lamps and shades. Definitely recommend this store!”

“I thrifted all across New York & Brooklyn over the last week and this shop was one of my favourites. It is tiny but has great stuff and I found a great t-shirt for my son. The staff were lovely and helpful. I will go back next time I'm in the city!”

“Nice stuff to look at but I came in looking for a specific thing and I got it! I was looking for a coffee cup and saucer and I found a nice one and the owner provided useful information for us. I think it was a good price for each set.”

“Bob came to do an estimate at my late parents' home as there are a number of Victorian antiques. From start to finish, he proved to be an exceptional person to deal with. Ironically, I say this despite him not buying anything from me! He was honest and helpful. And if that weren't enough, he helped get a baby squirrel out while he was there!! He was a refreshing difference from other antique dealers who were frankly rude on the phone.”

“John is an absolute pleasure to work with and his store is a treasure trove of beautiful antiques at reasonable prices. I’m almost hesitant to even write this because I want them all for myself but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share how wonderful of an experience my wife and I had buying some beautiful pieces to furnish our new apartment. Anyone looking for high quality pieces, need not look any further.”

“Very cool antique/militaria shop rich with history. Ollie and Patricia were very kind to me and my son and were a treat to chat with. We ended up walking away with a couple metal soldier figurines and a U.S. Vietnam-era butt pack. Prices and service are both great. We plan on returning again when we're back in town. Ollie and Patricia, if you read this, thanks for helping make my sons birthday special.”

“Small but interesting assortment. Prices about on par with what you might expect in the neighborhood. Even if she doesn't know a lot about an object, Martine is still pleasant to talk with. Stop by if you're in the vicinity! At minimum you'll see something interesting; at maximum a new objet d'art for your home!”

“I absolutely adore this place. The displays are so creative, so often switched out. This is like a local museum to me and I love going here for tchotchkes and just for fun. Prices are more than reasonable and I love being able to support a small local business for all of my houseware and trinket needs. Also wonderful selection of jewelry, costume and not. Most of my accessories are from here. Got a lot of great books here too. Great owner and super enjoyable to chat with. Adore this place”

“I’m happy to offer a whole-hearted recommendation of Marc’s Unique Antiques. The recent tag sale he conducted for a client could not have worked out better. His team’s pre-sale walk-thru helped identify items that would attract a wide following of regular buyers who dutifully began lining up on the street before the crack of dawn on sale day. During the actual sale, Marc and his team were able to offer astute, on the spot pricing assessments that far exceeded expectations. What started out as a chaotic jumble of household items, rusted tools, and collectibles turned into an extremely productive and profitable day-of operation. I was particularly impressed with the expertise of Marc’s associates where the sale of higher value coins, jewelry, and precious metals were concerned. Selling a family home was an emotionally fraught undertaking for my client. Marc and his team handled the entire process with sensitivity and professionalism. I would gladly refer Marc’s Unique Antiques to future clients.

“I was really excited to check out this store while visiting NYC. Unfortunately, I won’t have that chance because, even though Google says they’re open and nothing was posted on their social media or website, they are closed! No sign. Nothing. Very disappointing.”

“stray is easily my favorite part of sunnyside, the shop is small and narrow but jam packed with an amazing selection of really well curated records. i’ve had some amazing finds from husker du to yellow magic orchestra.

however, one of the greatest parts of the shop is dan the owner, being able to chat about music and the records you picked out and put you onto new stuff makes this shop one of the most accepting, helpful, and welcoming shops i know of. makes me sad im moving out of queens, cant recommend it enough!”

“After going to almost all the antique stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, I can comfortably say that this is THE best in NYC. Every single item in this small and (somewhat) messy store can be a centrepiece in its own right- and best of all, they are actually AFFORDABLE- a rarity in the city.

This is the only store where I can say that the prices are actually good- not just fair, not just reasonable, but GOOD. Almost every item you see, you can take back home without hurting your wallet. It’s worth spending a couple hours to dig around. The owner is polite and friendly.”

“Huge store! Huge selection! Super inexpensive? I was so surprised to find this in the heart of Williamsburg. Even the original art paintings on the wall were reasonably priced. In the best way possible, it feels like a flea market that exists in smaller cities.”

“One of my favorite vintage furniture/tchotzkes/clothing spots in Greenpoint! I always look forward to my visits here because you can't NOT find something that you're drawn to.

They have great pieces and the vendors are the sweetest. There are multiple different clothing vendor racks, all so well-curated. Prices here aren't wild, they're reasonable. :)”
