I have been shopping here ever since I moved into Middle Village 7 years ago and the porduce was acceptable in terms of freshness. Recently something happened to the store. The store is dirty, the produce is rotting away outside, flies are a constant presence ober the mushrooms, it is hard to find anything fresh and you have to ask for fresher vegetables which the staff profuces from the back of the store. I don’t understand how you can have spoiled, smelly and roting vegetables for sale?! That is absurd and unacceptabke. The staff is nice and helpful but the rotting vegetables and an unkept store is ridiculous. I think they are still there because there isn’t a better alternative close by. Please if the owner is reading this, do something about it. This is not trendy Williamsburg but come on, it is the 21st century. Please fix your store.

Stumbled upon this authentic Italian grocery market because I saw these huge Kinder eggs that I purchased for my sons 3rd birthday. They have all sorts of fresh pasta, cheeses, olives. I would definitely return here and spend more time to purchase ingredients.Parking can be a hassle in this area so it’s best to go in the morning or later at night as there’s too much commercial traffic in between. Parking is also metered so be sure to have coins in case these pesky machines keep declining your card!Huge bonus, Dollar tree is right across the street!

My family had shopped here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. We preferred them over c-town and the small corner grocery store because the produce was fresher even if the prices were a bit more expensive. Recently they started scamming people and will ring up produce with a different price than what’s posted. When you tell them they get nasty and deny it. Watch the prices of your items carefully. When it happened the first time we ignored it thinking it was an honest mistake but when it happened again on multiple items the next visit we were convinced that they’re just trying to take advantage of people. Prices of produce are already ridiculously more expensive because of Covid and imports but to take advantage of people just to make a few extra bucks wells that’s just unethical.

By far the best vegetables in the neighborhood. They have a very wide variety, and have many more vegetables than a supermarket. All of the pastas and cheese look so great

A small, old fashioned fruit and vegetable market that now has a selection of cheeses, appetizers. The produce is fresh and a bit higher than a market. Staff is friendly. Parking can be tough in this area.

Nií±o, Jr. has updated his father's Metropolitan Avenue Produce Market into a "Can't-Live-Without" everyday fruit, vegetable, & grocery stop! I keep finding more and more products here that are superior to any other market! Organic Paesano Olive Oil is fantastic, Vanta tomato sauce in glass bottles is perfect, cracked green olives with garlic are scrumptious, and so many other wonderful products at amazingly affordable prices!

This was one of my go to places on Metropolitian Ave. Not anymore. They're prices are reasonable don't get me wrong. But after I had pointed out one day while shopping there, that their strawberries, that they were selling were ALL ROTTEN and BEING SOLD at a DISCOUNTED price, thinking "hey maybe, they didn't realize", the owner turned around and simply stated to me, rather than taking them off the shelf, "Well then don't buy them!". I was so taken aback, by the harshness of the words. Have not stepped back into the store since. NOT A GOOD WAY to talk to the neighborhood customers...
