I had two nights in NY for some business meetings. The general location worked because I had a meeting nearby before heading to the airport on the second day. From check in - it didn't seem very organized. The king room I had reserved was tiny. Ok for just me perhaps but two people would have been stepping all over each other. On the first morning, the coffee maker in the room didn't work. The breakfast downstairs didn't start until 7, so not coffee to bring up. Then when I got some downstairs, there were no lids. The free breakfast was uninspiring - toward the bottom end of the genre. When I asked at the desk what the most efficient way into Manhattan might be via public transportation - they had no clue. Nor did the desk have any dinner suggestions in the area. The desk personnel just did not know the area - and they should. On the second morning the coffee maker still didn't work. When I went to check out my car was retrieve by a boy who couldn't have been a day over 14. The best way to describe this hotel is they were shoestringing it.

Never again! First time the room supposed to be smoke-free and it smell like someone just put out their cigarette. Told the front and asked for another room but they told us there's nothing available to just open the window. Now the second time we supposed to have a king size bed, instead it's a queen size. No ice machine , no anything.

I am giving this hotel 3 stars due to the bad service around valet parking and false information given. Negative - I choice this hotel and paid more to stay here because it had the valet parking that several others in the area did not have. There was another hotel with limited hotel parking that was less and we chose not to stay there because we know how the parking in NY can be. Yet, on the 2nd night we arrived back at 4AM from being out with my family and was told that the valet was full. This was absolutely ridiculous. My husband then had to park over two blocks away on the street. If we wanted street parking there were many other hotels that were less expensive where we could have stayed. What also makes matters worst is I called this hotel before book to confirm the valet parking and they did not mention that it's limited valet. Also one of the elevator was down causing a long wait to get out or get back to the room. Although there is a microwave close the breakfast dining area guests were not allowed to use the dining area outside of breakfast house. Positive - The front desk staff were pleasant, check was smooth, the room was pretty clean. I think they cold have paid a little more attention cleaning the bathroom but not significant enough to call housekeeping to come back. The area felt save and very close to the mall and restaurants within walking distant; the airports are about 17 mins from LGA and 22 mins to JFK. Erwan (front desk night staff) was extremely apologetic about the valet situation and explained that they also have half the lot closed for construction and that should have been told to me; well it was not. The breakfast was typically, hot continental. The room was very small is especially to hold 2 queen sized beds and 4 adults. We stayed two night for my Dad's funeral so it wasn't too bad. The price was reasonable for the area but given that I was expecting valet and ended up parking on the street it was not work the $145/night stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night as part of our (day to ourselves) adventure. I booked a deluxe room with a king sized bed 3weeks in advance from Expedia. Before check in, we had to find parking and were lucky enough to find it on the street about a block away from the hotel. Keep in mind that there is a parking lot next to the hotel but it is not the hotel's property and if left overnight, your car will be towed. Upon checking in, I did notice that the hotel lobby, as stated in other reviews was very clean and looked newly renovated. We were told that we had to pay a $100 convenience fee (damages to the hotel and etc) and this would be have to be charged to a credit card . We were then given our room keys and up we went. Upon entering the room, I thought it was just a little small however, it was very clean. My boyfriend went ahead turning things on and off in the room to make sure they worked while I checked the bed for bed bugs. (I didn't think the hotel had any or I would have seen it in other reviews but still had to double check). It would have been a great night except around 4 am, the fire alarm went off and wouldn't stop going off for about the next half an hour. Luckily it was a false alarm but the fire department did come to the hotel to make sure everything was fine. The next morning as my boyfriend and I were leaving our room to check out, sure enough we did smell the faint smell of weed. Smh now this is a non smoking hotel so of course all the floors are non smoking. People be considerate of others and try to follow the rules. We were startled out of our sleep at 4 in the morning for a false alarm fire that could have easily been prevented . All in all, the hotel itself was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone else to do the same .

The first thing is the parking is terrible, oh wait, and there are little to no parking. The other parking is the city meter parking you had to feed it every couple of hours. The hotel rips you off with $25 a day parking. The whole hotel has only one ice maker, and it is in the basement with the tiny microwave. The room is cramped, nowhere to put your luggage's. The room was dusty, especially the TV and the rack to hang clothes. The breakfast was awful. The place was a disgrace, and we left a day early. They would not refund my last day reservation. DO NOT STAY THERE!

The room is dirty dusty on the TV and what they call clothes rack. Also, the room is like a closet with it smaller than small mini refrigerator. The hotel h as very only one ice maker, and no microwave in the room. The sink is missing it stopper. There is no closet in the room but a dusty clothes rack. There is no flat sheet only the comforter to cover yourself. The room didn't have no literature on the hotel and the surrounding area. I will not come here anymore, tell everyone how terrible the room. One last thing, the bed suppose to be a queen size, it only a full size.

November 2018 by Geoff S.
I strongly recommend against using this hotel. I notice they have a relatively low rating--this is no mistake. I usually write positive reviews, since I like to acknowledge great customer service or great products. Unfortunately, in this case, the management is not customer service-oriented, they are profit-oriented. If you have an issue with hotel "policies," no matter how reasonable, you will not be heard--and they will keep your money. The issue I had was during the first snow storm of November 2018. Thousands of people were stranded at airports all over the northeast. After trying for hours, like all the other thousands, to get a flight out, my business companion and I finally gave up. At 2:00 AM I booked two rooms online at this Wyndham. Unfortunately, since it was now "the next day," the website was no longer offering same-day reservations--only the next day--but I didn't realize it. Hotel rooms were so scarce that I was thrilled to be able to make a reservation. I did know it was non-refundable, but thought there was not chance/need to change, since we were in such desperate circumstances. When I got the confirmation I noticed the date problem and contacted Travelocity immediately to cancel. They called the Wyndham on my behalf and were told, no, the reservation was non-refundable. I thought, OK, I'm not up for dealing with this, having been up all night, but I was sure that when the Wyndham understood the circumstances, and my effort to immediately cancel my mistake, they would grant the refund. No such customer service was on offer. When I called, I was told, literally over and over, that this was policy and I had agreed to it, online. Right. I asked to speak to a manger, who apparently refused to get on the phone. Instead of discussing the issue on their end and calling me back, they made me call them back. You're getting the drift here. Zero customer service. Maximum greed. Well they kept the money--for two rooms that were never unavailable to other guests, because I had attempted to cancel immediately (at 2:00 AM) the day before. Not good people to deal with.

My husband and I stayed here one night before heading out of the country. We originally booked the hotel on Hotwire.com and received this property. We checked in around 8pm and didn't have any issues. I recall my husband making sure we received a king bed being that he had to pay extra money for a king. Well, we entered the room and could barely get our suitcase in the small walkway between the bed and the dresser (see photo). All we kept thinking is please don't let us hit our foot on the bed or dresser. When checking out the next day, a couple in front of us was filing a complaint because they only had one flat sheet on the bed and one towel. They called down for another towel and were told they must come down to get it. Although we didn't experience this, it's disappointing to have to go through this when you just want a place to lay your head after traveling all day.

This is probably the nicest hotels I've stayed in at New York yet! Even better then the Chinatown one by a few points. The rooms are tidy, beds are soft, floor was relatively swell, and the area was quiet! Our view was nice, we were facing out to a strip mall. Which includes a five guys, a CVS, a gamestop, Chase, and Apple bees! So they are food options right around the corner. The beds were comfy and I slept well on them. The breakfast downstairs was really good and they are a TON of options. Eggs, bacon, two types of sausage, cereal, hashbrowns, toast and bagels. And even milk, orange juice, and coffee. The toaster oven to cook the food is a really cool oven. It toasts it then it pops out from the bottom nice and toasty. The rooms are a little bit small, but for two people it's no big deal. Our coffee maker was also neat, it was a kuerig! But the water fill tray was rusty and gross, I'm not too fond of that. Can I just say, I HATE how loud the bathroom door was. So obnoxious. Why is the door so close to the toilet?? Yikes. The trash bin and wall was pretty gross too.. Dried up coffee on the wall where the trash was. Housekeepers must've not dusted below the entertainment center. IT WAS THICK in dust. Other then that? It was a nice hotel! Those were just nitpicks. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel. Though it's best to come her in not so busy times. Comic con and a BTS concert was happening and this place got booked FAST. The staff was nice and answered to our small nitpicks calmly and wrote it down. Which I appreciate. A solid 4.5/5 .

I NEVER leave negatives reviews but this was without question the worst hotel customer service experience I've ever encountered. Due to staff incompetence and language barrier I was in essence charged twice for the same stay, which overdrafted my account and incurred several overdraft fees. Went multiple days without access to cash. Had to visit and call hotel for multiple days because there was no manager on staff for them to tell me it it would take several days for erroneous charge to clear. No Sorry, No compensation for the several days of inconvenience, no credit for the fees incurred due to their negligence. This is in the HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT business. Wyndham should be embarrassed by this representation. I will be pursuing further action & litigation.

We stayed a few nights last month while we visited four boroughs of NYC. We had an awesome view from our suite. We had a kitchen in our suite which was convenient. Service was good. Will stay there again,

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay here. I learned that "double" and "queen" are not synonymous when it comes to the beds. My room had two double beds; it was nice, but it was small. I thought that it was very clean...until seeing a thick layer of dust, a sock, and a few pieces of small trash under the beds. Outside of that, I really don't have any complaints about the room. A free hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and waffles with a small bread/bagel bar, oatmeal and cereal was offered daily from 7-10am. Saturday morning was great, but Sunday morning was less than favorable - too many folks down there at one time and the staff seemed to have a hard time keeping up with preparing enough food. The restroom near the breakfast room had a lot of small strange looking flies in it. It had a foul odor the first day I used it, but it smelled much better the second. There is limited parking if you can find it on the street. Otherwise, you'll have to pay $25 a night for valet parking . Overall, the staff was very pleasant! I requested a room with a view of the city at check-in and they happy o accommodate me

I am a Black Young Woman staying on an business trip . The room was decent . They have a mini fridge and stove which is cool if your staying a long time but they don't include pots and pans. So ... I asked the French lady at the front desk about the restaurant and she didn't know what time it open . Also she told me they didn't have American food . Which I was kind of offended because I didn't ask her about the cuisine. I guess she thought because I was black I only like American food . Which was rude & ignorant . Maybe next time I will stay at a hotel with an American staff . Instead of rude foreigners .

The worst place ever with the worst service. Asked for toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk and the guy that was working late shift said they don't have and when asked for his name so I could write a review, he wouldn't give.

Had many issues, we paid for valet parking for the 3 days we stayed and one of the nights they said they couldn't park the car until we mentioned that we already paid for parking and then they finally took our keys. Another issue was checking in at the front desk. One of the receptionists pulled up the wrong reservation and another receptionist, Tina, was extremely rude and told us that it was our fault that we booked our reservation wrong. This went on for about 10 minutes until the other receptionist realized she pulled the wrong info. Tina, who was extremely rude didn't even bother apologize.
