The legendary Forest Pork Store has been a staple of the German community of Ridgewood Queens since it was established in 1948. The amazing selection and quality of fresh meats from this butcher as well as other hard to find German groceries has made this place unparalleled. It seems at some point a couple decades ago this original location decided to become a wholesale distributor and closed down the storefront, but the Huntington location store remains open to the public. I guess this location supplies German meats to lots of other butchers as well.
