“Came to town to see a show with the family, but this was worth the daytime excursion from Manhattan to Brooklyn to check out. Well organized, didn't feel claustrophobic, staff was great to chat with but also knowledgeable about product, and they had a nice selection of indie rpgs and card/board games that are beginner friendly to walk-ins but also interesting for long time gamers. My non-gamer partner actually found a card game and a book she wanted to buy!”

“Have bought a couple board games in the past here, and came for mtg tourney, which this review will center around, but if you're looking for boardgames, solid inventory. Well run, clean, appropriate amount of space for the event size and seems they cap them to keep it that way. Hadn't been to an lgs tourney in 10+ years and had a great entry back here. Staff was nice, players were friendly. Good local!”

“Mike and the other 2 guys there were cool, didn't catch their names. Me and my fiance stopped by to window shop some rc cars and ended up leaving with a pair of Arrma Mini kraytons. I used to have a nitro car back in the day, but this is my first electric car. Mike explained the different cars that he had available, as well as their upgrade potential/durability levels. We could've went with the other car, forget the name, but these seemed like we wouldn't outgrow them too quick. They have different power level settings, so a great car to start with, and we couldn't find them any cheaper online so we bought. They freaking fly. So happy with our purchase. Thanks guys, we will be back for tires/parts asap, since she already busted a strut and I've about smoked my tires lol...it's a grown hobby, bring your monnies!”

“My daughter had her birthday party here, and we had such a wonderful experience. Teacher Sylvia was amazing! She prepared everything so thoroughly and beautifully decorated the party room with balloons. The staff even asked about my daughter’s favorite color and decorated everything to match — such a thoughtful touch. The painting class was fantastic. All of the kids loved painting, and the parents enjoyed participating together as well. We truly had a great party at Michael’s. Thank you so much for making my daughter’s day so special!”

“My 89 yr old mother got stuck in the elevator at the Michaels on Metropolitan Ave on Friday afternoon . When she got out the on duty manager made sure that she was ok and provided a place to sit and water. He also rode down with her when we had finished shopping as she was uneasy going alone . (I am claustrophobic, and that day's incident really convinced me that I did not want to be in that elevator lol.) the store is nice, but I'm impressed me most was the personal care we received that day.”

“I had such a stressful experience turn into an unexpectedly positive one thanks to the team at Michaels. I placed a same-day delivery order for my daughter’s Crazy Hat Day, and unfortunately the original dasher mixed up the orders and delivered my items to someone else. When I called the store, Gerald, the manager, was incredibly helpful and immediately tried to make it right. He gave me the customer service number and even offered to repack the order for me if needed. Customer service quickly resubmitted the delivery, and honestly, I had already accepted defeat and was preparing to run to Dollar Tree to replace everything. To my surprise, the new dasher arrived with my full order — every single item included. After such a frustrating start, that level of customer service and effort truly made my day. Gerald and the customer service team went above and beyond, and I truly appreciate how seriously they took the situation, especially since it was for something important to my daughter. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience!”
