If I could, I would give them zero stars. After sending a $50 deposit, they provide no assistance, ignore emails, and their phone service appears to be perpetually out of order. Even if someone happens to answer the phone, they simply instruct you to email them. This is clearly a scam. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment.

Ruby is amazing!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If you choose to use this service, your best bet is to arrive IN PERSON with ALL your tax documentation ready. You will be scheduled to come back for your filing. When you return for your filing, plan to calmly wait for them to process it. Yes, this office is very busy and yes, they have a particular style of organization, but they are human beings working at a very affordable price. Do not bring negative energy here.If you don’t like their style, go somewhere else, but do not leave a bad review here. They are the best in town.

Yes, AVOID AT ALL COST!1. The firm filed a tax extension without telling me, that the government charged over $5000 to my bank account, if I did not have that much money in my bank at the time it will result in a fine.2. When I called about this situation, they did not apologize to me and told me that the government will return the money when the tax has been filed, which takes about 3 weeks for me to get my money back. At the time I've only graduated for a year, if I had no savings and something major happened that I had to use the money, I'd had nothing to spend.3. For my parent's tax, the accountant only submitted the amount stated on the W-2 form I send via email and missed the two 1099 forms I sent via email. We received a notice from the gov saying that there are taxes due for unemployment. If it wasn't for this mail we would not even have noticed the accountant did not see the 1099 form I sent to them all the way back in March.4. I called the office and required an adjustment, but they dare to charge me $50 extra for them to fix their mistakes. If our family did not have a habit of saving money, we now have to pay back the government 4.5k. If we did not have the money in hand right now, we'd be doomed.5. For instance, if we did not notice your mistake and you misfiled my mom's 1099 when the government finds out we will be charged tax evasion, and who will be responsible for that?If your firm did not dare to ask me to pay for the adjustment I would not write this review and let you fix your mistakes quietly. My family has been a long-time customer of this firm, and this is how you treat your customers. You guys should know that this is ridiculous.

A very bad tax filing company. I called to inquire about past information and was hung up on. Very rude. I have been an old customer for eight years. I asked very simple questions and couldn’t get any answers. They only wanted to collect money. Friends, don’t come here to file your taxes. You will suffer the consequences of spending money.

Awesome job as always. Crowded but well worth it.I'm amending my comments due to the recent bad reviews.I agreed with Richard K, the bad reviews are unwarranted. Most if not all of the bad reviews have come during the Covid Pandemic. Business, including tax/accounting offices were overwhelmed with the Covid situation. They were shut down, tax laws were amended, changed, flipped upside down, etc. NOTHING was normal and this place was not exempt. I've been using them for almost 10 years and they always do their best to get the most returns for you. That being said I would NOT take those negative reviews as the general consensus of this place.

Over the past month, I have made more than 10 calls to their office, yet the staff kept telling me to wait. A week ago, when I called again, they finally said that the tax filing would be completed that day, yet again nothing happened. Because the filing deadline is approaching and I expect further revision to be likely, I had to express my frustration via a review here. Right after that, they completed my tax filing within a day. Then Ruby told me on the phone that my review "hurt her feeling", without any mention of their long procrastination and total disregard of client needs. When she said "do you think this (review) is fair?", I responded "yes". Then she hung up on me, for probably the 5th time since I started using their service. So I had to write down everything in another review here, and let everyone decide if I am being fair with her.

Note: This is coming from someone who used them for the past 5 years.People will overlook this business as they search up nearby tax return agencies, and see the low overall Google score. This is a huge disservice to this business and the staff.Sort by Most Recent on the reviews and you'll notice the trend of bad reviews from 2020. Lots of things happened during that year that nyc was not prepared for from the covid pandemic, with rules changing every day due to incompetent government leadership. Every business was struggling to keep up with the new rules, ITC was no exception.Still, this team works very hard and is transparent with their process. I remember only one time where they could not file my taxes on time, but it was my fault for coming during April in the middle of the tax busy season. They resolved my problem by submitting for tax return extension. Easy, no problem.They allow for open questions for any forms you have, and they review the documents with you on the spot before they send it off for processing.Instead of blaming the business, blame yourselves for waiting until the last minute when things are hectic and returns are not filed on time due to your own carelessness. Never change, whiny U.S. people.

Edit: Just looked at some other reviews and saw that ITC also mishandled other customers taxes and are constantly missing the deadlines to file taxes (you'd think accountants would be able to submit taxes for their clients on time but I guess not). It's easy for them to say that they missed the deadline because they don't have to pay anything and get to take their sweet time to do the paperwork. Ruby, the office manager, seems to be blaming the clients- obviously super professional. Clearly these people cannot handle the amount of clients they get. It's super simple. DON'T TAKE NEW CUSTOMERS ON IF YOU'RE JUST GOING TO WASTE THEIR TIME AND MONEY NOT TO MENTION THE FRUSTRATION YOU HAVE ALL CAUSED. I saw one review that talked about their work ethic and how they've started in a little office with a few employees and are open 6-7 days a week. I get it however if you're working that hard why isn't anything done on time? This same review talked about how his rate is cheaper? Safe to say his rate+all the penalty amounts that you WILL get fined if you come here will exceed any other good accountant.DO NOT COME HERE if your taxes are difficult. It's a really messy office and they change their staff so often and are unable to do anything correctly since they can't keep up. The owners are older as well so they are not fast-thinkers, smart-thinkers, and move very slow and highly unorganized. I trusted Michael and his team to do my taxes. I've seen how their other customers get angry as well. I believe a lot of their customers are Chinese and they do not understand how to file taxes. ITC definitely benefits and profits off of this. I have paid the government thousands and thousands of dollars because these "accountants" could not do anything correctly.

Made mistakes that resulted in a couple thousand dollars in tax penalty. Most of the staff are rude and not responsive. Will not recommend to anyone.

Why is everybody so rude here? I asked how long I'd have to wait to just pick up my supposedly already completed report, and got three different responses. Turns out they hadn't even finished it despite calling me to tell me it was done. And one of them assumed I was Korean (I'm not) because I asked my questions in English, so they were talking about me behind my back in Mandarin (which I understand). Anyway, a 0.5/10 experience. Would not recommend. 0.5 given solely for ultimately completing my taxes.

TLDR: Avoid them at all costs.They screwed up my tax big time. They had a mistake in 1040 and even failed to attach a very important file to my tax return. As a result now I'm not getting the tax benefits I'm entitled for. Called them and asked for help and they were like "not our problem go talk to IRS". Extremely frustrating! Worst experience ever!

I don't even want to put one star there. Horrible experience! First of all, forget about the deadline for tax return, they will never follow it. You have to call them every day and still they don't care at all. I sent them my documents in February and it took them three months to file. And I was told yesterday that they actually didn't file my case. They just lied to me! I am still in shock. DEFINITELY GO AND FIND A BETTER PLACE TO FILE YOUR CASE. I WOULD NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN!!!

I have been filing taxes there for many years. What really pissed me off is this new guy who is working in the front desk. I am uncertain to what is wrong with his attitude. Come on man, you're a freaking front desk, at least present your manner correctly. Poor serve and attitude! ! Unprofessional with his wordings and lack of knowledge. Every time when you ask him something (since he is the only one who picks up the phone) always unsure to his answers. Requested him to ask the tax preparer, he refused and still managed to go along with his stupidity. Really upsets me when I am still asking him a question and he responded with: "sorry we've close right now. Ok? Bye" (very mean and attitude). Trash place!! Should reconsider this place.
