I won't give this Jack shit. I walked in and no one even bothered to acknowledge me. When someone finally did they told me to go to the back where someone could assist with a hair cut. I stood standing there for 5 mins saying hello with the hairstylist completely ignoring me. Walk right past this place and don't even look at it. Absolute garbage!

If I could give 0 stars… I would. I had the absolute WORST experience here. It was bad enough I came and was told to come the next day although I scheduled an appointment because the lady “had someone else coming in” but my hair was absolutely fried. I came in for highlights and had them done by Miriam. Sweet lady but has absolutely no clue what she’s doing. To mention the “smaller” issues: she applied God knows what coloring on my scalp that burnt so bad I cried, she was very harsh with the way she handled my hair, and she didn’t properly clean my hair when rinsing off the product. It was all over my ears, scalp, and forehead. Onto the main issue, I came in for highlights but first she had to change my hair color to a lighter color, to which she attempted to do TWICE and left me with 2 different colors. The top of my head, near my roots being an orange brown and the bottom being a dark brown. And she even had the audacity to tell me she worked so hard and charge me full price for a coloring when I was shattered and decided to leave the store without getting highlights. This isn’t even the worst of it. I’m just trying to summarize my horrible experience. They got my entire shirt wet when washing my hair, they completely fried my beautiful healthy hair while trying to fix their mess up and I still ended up with 2 different colors. I immediately went to a different salon, one that has SKILLED workers and even they were horrified at what this lady had done to my hair. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. This place should be shut down. I HIGHLY recommend you get your hair done from elsewhere. Don’t come here and waste your money. I attached a photo for reference as to the mess she made.Service: Hairstyling

I came to the salon and asked if they can do my hair because not everyone can do thick curly hair. I get there and the first red flag was that the conditioner wasn't combed through my hair. However, that was nothing compared to what happened after. The person doing my hair was upset she couldn't find cream to put in my hair and when I asked what type of cream she said don't worry about it. She didn't end up finding it, but I deserve to know what she wanted to put in my hair. I heard my hair sizzling because she was flat ironing it while it was still wet. Adding on, the stylist didn't comb my hair all the way and proceeded to try straightening it. She let my hair hang all over and didn't tie it up with an clip, straightened my hair up and not down, and grabbed pieces too small to straighten. Plus, my hair wasn't as straight as it should be at the end, looked like day 5 hair. This place is probably fine for a person with fine hair.

5 STARS! Definitely recommend! Hairstylist maya is amazing! I am a young client and I really feel like they understand me here. Such kind people. Great service. I am definitely coming her again. It's also near many stores so it's easy access if you need anything.

I bought a Groupon for single process hair color and deep conditioning treatment which is priced at $45 usually but it was on sale for $36. I called a day before to make an appointment and spoke with the boss, Joseph. He said it will be Linda. I came the next day and met Linda at the door who said she will be right back as she went next door to buy something. I walked in and on the right was a nail tech who was working on a customer, I passed the cash register on the left, the blowdry dresser on the right, and reached a coat rack on the left where a lady (I believe her name was Natalia) told me I could hang my coat and place anything under there. Then, she guided me to the back where there was an empty chair. Linda came back and opened up some color books on the table and asked what color I wanted. She was very friendly. I told her I wanted a red color and not too bright so she mixed colors for me into a bottle to make a color I liked. She applied it on my hair really quick and I sat there for 30+ minutes for the color to sink in. Next to me was another lady who had just had color applied as well. They give you a new mask upon entering and the salon is spacious and they did not overbook so I felt overall safe. Then, I sat in another chair placed next to a tiny sink to rinse the color off. The chair was not comfortable and the sink was a bit small and I got water and soap in my eyes. After rinsing, Natalie applied conditioner on my hair. Then, Linda wrapped it with a towel and placed me under a dryer machine for the deep conditioning treatment. After about 10 minutes, they rinsed my hair and wrapped it with a towel and told me to go by the mirrored dressers where Linda blowdried my hair a bit. She didn't really blowdry or style my hair as it was still dampy and cold when I left the salon. Originally the boss Joseph called and said that because I'm changing my hair from blonde to red, he needs to charge an additional $30. He said the Groupon is only for the roots, but that's not what single process color means. However, after the service as I was paying Linda said additional $20 is fine. I paid the additional fees and gave her and her assistant a tip. Overall, it was a good experience. Linda and Natalie were both very accommodating and friendly.

Joseph Rubins hair design is the best hair salon. One of the best places I've ever been too. The salon is Very clean and I was very satisfied with the outcome of my hair! I am definitely coming back

Although it's a mom n pop hair salon and I say that because the staff is 50 and older, I think it's why it keeps the young people away however I took a chance and have been going for almost a yr. I get my nails done and have had my hair colored n layered and I've been treated great! It's clean and the staff know their jobs very well. I've learned the older the hairdresser only means more experience. As the saying goes "DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" ðŸ‘
