“They have been open despite the pandemic. Sometimes they don't allow you to come on, sometimes they do, I don't like the inconsistency. Some of the staff are very friendly and would address your questions like which sweet wine they recommend, but sometimes they have no clue and is a little frustrating. I wanted Venezuelan rum and they ran out it, and the owner was able to bring some from the other store, that was very nice. Overall they would have a mix of the spirit of your choice, of you are in the area I do recommend it.”

“This quaint little store has the best Soju selection I've seen in the immediate area. They offer an array of brands & flavors, all ranging from $4-4.75. Although Jinro & Chum Churum flavors are found almost anywhere Soju is sold, what particularly peaked my interest in their store is their availability of Good Day Soju--in which they sold the Blueberry, Pineapple, and Watermelon flavors! This is the first time I've seen 2/3 of those flavors, and at $4.50, it was every bit worth it! As I was checking out and looked around the store, their liquor seems to have some of the best prices I have personally seen in the immediate area. Even if the difference isn't significantly cheaper, every little bit helps and makes a difference! This was my second time at this store, and the workers are very nice & accomodating to their customers. Highly recommend this place!”

“I came in to buy a bottle of liquor for a friend and saw some Chinese liquors I've never seen nor tried before. The 2 guys that worked here were pretty friendly and tried their best to give me some advice on it. I walked out with some bottle I couldn't read any labels on and it was definitely different from anything I've ever had.”

“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted. When I asked if they carried a buttery Chardonnay I was told they had run out by the same gentleman who greeted me, returned from the back with a bottle saying that he went to double check and that the bottle he had in his hands was the last one they currently had. I appreciate him double checking. We also struck up a conversation about whiskeys while I was checking out their selection. Overall my experience was great and I will definitely be returning”
“We wandered into this store mostly by accident, as we were looking in another store for some really nice scotch to bring to a party, and I couldn't find the one I wanted. I decided to take a look in Buywise because we were walking by it, and while they turned out not to have the one I was looking for, the gentleman working there couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We took our time and looked around, and wound up deciding on some alternate purchases, and we were given nice carrying bags and glassware. The selection of scotch isn't huge, as it's not a warehouse store, but there were terrific choices of all varieties and prices, I had plenty of options, which was a relief.”

“"Hello Mr. Singh!" "Hello Sara, how are you?" That's the way it goes now when I enter Live Wines & Liquor. I've been there 3-4 times since Mr. Singh took over the place and he knew my name on the second visit. Like Cheers, I suppose, but without the middle man. Mr. Singh is so pleasant and helpful, such a welcome addition to a neighborhood that's become less of a community over the years. I'm not a very big drinker but I do like a bottle of wine a few times a month, and I also purchase wine and liquor for gifts. The selection is well-curated and Mr. Singh makes helpful recommendations based on what I've purchased or inquired about. I also appreciate that he's open on Sunday (til 7:30, actually) because that's usually about the time I realize I want wine and have no wine. Also, frankly, he's a vast improvement over the last owner when the place was under a different name. The prices are very good and most importantly the service is excellent. I don't hand out 5 stars easily!”

“When I want something different from the average Budweiser or Heineken I can count on Kissena Beverage to try something new or to have something that I can't find at Rite Aid . It's not the biggest beer distributor but it's the closest one to the area so for convenience it's definitely our go to spot. The prices are decent and there's a good selection of beers to choose from. So whether you need to refill the fridge with beers or you're trying to find something new to try this is definitely a spot worth paying a visit to. Go ahead and get your drink on ;)”
“It's a little liquor store tucked away in a corner of 63rd drive. It has all the liquors that you need especially all the popular kinds. For those complaining about their lack of social interaction, it's a liquor store not a pub. They're nice enough to show you where everything is and make slight suggestions. But that's it. Don't expect a full conversation when it's often just one person at the store front. They've got a business to do and they do their business great!”
