Avoid this key food at all costs. I went in to check my EBT card and the cashier was very impatient, disrespectful and rude even though I explained to her that I am checking to see if EBT card got the cash with an item that I bought. As a LGBTQIA++ person, I was discriminated and treated as if I am not a human being. It’s so sad that bystanders (other costumers) didn’t seem to mind the blatant racism and homophobia from the cashier. These monopoly stores like, key food has failed us big time because they can’t even train their employees (specifically their cashiers) to be professional, respectful and most importantly patient workers. All of the employees should go through thorough non-bias and how to be accepting trainings. I don’t mind coming in and training them about gender, equality, sexuality and other differences that we humans share which should be respected and uplifted. If you are a queer individual don’t go unless you need general items. You can go to food bazaar by corona or other key food by 63rd drive. I definitely will go back with my all queer friends to show the employees that when we LGBTQIA++ people come together, there is nothing you can do and if you dare to discriminate, we will destroy your hate with love. Love is love. Love always wins.

This supermarket is on 63rd drive between 108th and 105th street in Rego Park, Queens. I haven't done any research but prices seem in line with similar supermarkets in New York City . The parking lot is small but normally of adequate size. Reflecting the neighborhood, there are many Russian and other foreign foods. They recently renovated the store and made a second exit on 64th Avenue,on the other side of the store from the parking lot. That exit closes at 6pm.The store closes at 9pm. With the renovation, check out is more efficient.

One of the largest and well stocked Key Food locations I've ever been to. Even if what you're looking for isn't on sale the day of, but you need it, you can usually find it. They actually have a fish department too with the ice and the whole nine yards lol. My only gripe.....and its a gripe because it hits a little close to home, is the deli department."It has nothing to do with people there". Everyone seems helpful and whatnot but its a matter of the equipment. I have experience with a deli slicer from a previous job albeit somewhat limited but for the several years I've been going to this location, the cold cuts have been 50/50. Half ok, half damn.....I've been told on multiple occasions that:1. The machine Cant cut thinner2. The blade is dull(longest going explanation)3. Its starts shredding despite being thick so you wind up with slices that taper. 1 side thick, the other side what it should be.I don't know about you, but I've been enjoying cold cuts since i was a kid over 20 years ago. I occasionally order right after someone and see the monstrosity of "credit card thick ham" slices and its usually half a pound or more. Ham specifically needs to be cut paper thin. Try it once and you will never go back....seriously. To this day i have a specific market i go to when i need great cold cuts that i know are on point any day of the week regardless of who is working the machine. Its an hour way but when its worth it, its worth it.Please KeyFood management, get the equipment sorted and have a dedicated cold cut person that knows that machine in and out to make this store a 5 star establishment. Even if the customers don't care about how the cold cuts comes out, having well maintained equipment, and an experienced worker that knows how to deal with the machine when its not up to snuff, will yield an experience greater than the sum of its parts. Thank you for running a very good store. Lets make it a Great store.

Rude CASHIERS , I mean I understand you may need your phone but while you are ringing up my things ??? I think not . Imagine pausing to continue scrolling on your phone . I almost slapped the fire out of two of them , also when they see a black woman they tend to automatically assume you are paying with food stamps !!!??? Got a sandwich and the guy says “oh we don’t accept food stamps for sandwiches “ it would have been wrong if I asked is that why he is ringing up stuff because he didn’t finish school ?? But I smiled and kept it moving . Has a very rancid smell in there .

this place can be nice but I notice they are very racist and it is the nerves for me because I have seen a line long full of white women on welfare, You would think they would be kind because they are poor but this area is the white slums.

I went to another Key Food and paid using Apple Pay/Wallet on my iPhone. Did that several times and everything was fine. Recently, when I went to that other Key Food, the Apple Pay credit card transaction got linked to this Key Food location, which has never happened before. Then someone stole my card info and used it in random places on the Internet. Seems like there's something fishy going on here.
