“After reading through the comments regarding the Carthage Post Office, I am compelled to write:
I have been a Carthage resident for nearly 60 years, served by this post office. My experience inside has always been positive, whether buying stamps, sending packages, or even when applying for a passport.
People are people, subject to good days and bad days. But I found that a quick smile and and a friendly greeting has *ALWAYS* been met with a kind reply, quick, courteous service, and prompt help.
I have noticed some irregularities in delivery times from the carriers in the village. But I also recognize that there are factors outside their control that can be at play. They always deliver, even on Sundays if they get behind due to mail volume.
All said, I am quite please with the Carthage office and those that give it their best, even when the snarly ones walk in off the street.”

“This branch is completely unprofessional. They keep putting my mail in the wrong parcel locker, and when I go in to speak with the supervisor, Vanessa, she is never in the office.
Mr Lasheik promise to find the mail after work. He went to pick my mail from the mail box and return it to my address. I really appreciate helping me find my mail. Thank you sir.”
“Bite the bullet and get the PO Box. It’s the easiest and most convenient way to get mail here and it’s not expensive.
If you have a friend or two you can add all of you on the PO Box. Unlisted people cannot use your box so it’s secure too. No freeloaders unless you want there to be.
The only issue is that if there’s a payment problem, the post staff don’t call you. They just lock the box. You’ll have to check your box once a billing cycle to make sure you’re all good.”
