I made an appointment for my passport at 10 AM and arrived early. I had a few questions before my appointment mainly to make sure I had all the paperwork I needed so I didn’t waste anybody’s time…. Lo and behold, the only person that was wasted was mine. The guy behind the counter proceeds to tell me that there’s nobody there that can do my Appointment. But I’m welcome to walk into any other USPS! Ended up going to Black River and they were amazing!

Bite the bullet and get the PO Box. It’s the easiest and most convenient way to get mail here and it’s not expensive.
If you have a friend or two you can add all of you on the PO Box. Unlisted people cannot use your box so it’s secure too. No freeloaders unless you want there to be.
The only issue is that if there’s a payment problem, the post staff don’t call you. They just lock the box. You’ll have to check your box once a billing cycle to make sure you’re all good.

I don’t think I’ve ever understood where the horrible reviews come from. There are three amazing employees that work there. Two older gentlemen and a woman. All three of them are fantastic people and very funny! I’ve been there dozens of times in the 2 years we’ve been here, and never once had a real problem to complain about other than the other people coming in. They’ve always had a good attitude and have been very helpful to everyone I’ve seen. Personally, just don’t walk in somewhere with a bad attitude and expect sunshine and rainbows ??♀️ Overall I have loved my experiences here and will actually really miss this post office when we move. Thank you guys for everything you do! ??

They are over charging.customers. I paid over $80 to send a box, priority mail, to GA, which is a 16 hour drive. It took 8 days to arrive to its destination. I went into the post office to let them know and he simply said, priority isn't guaranteed. I would give zero stars for this location but it's not allowed. Now, I drive to Watertown's USPS or I ship UPS.

The USPS is the backbone of our great nations source of information. Without the USPS we would not be able to send friends and family letters or gifts through the mail. I thank the USPS for their service. Sometimes I get other people mail in my mailbox.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are for, every time I go a nice older gentleman politely helps me even when I’m unprepared and makes me want to come back if I need to rather than deterring.

0 stars. Stood in line for 40 minutes and when I finally got to the front, they let four people go in front of me that had been serviced already. I had to leave because I had a meeting. All I needed was a money order.

I would rate this a zero star. You need to get people that know what they are doing! I had to go back there multiple times to ship one item because the old dude didn’t know what he was doing! Plus some are just rude! Best choice is to go off post (except black river) calcium to ship anything. At least they have their stuff together.

After thing were stollen from an envelope I received this week, the women at the Fort Drum USPS Office just charged me $4 for an 1.30oz ENVELOPE that already had a forever stamp on it! Disgusting!

This is the second time within a month that my package(s) were delivered to my parcel locker but when I check its not there. The first time the employee forgot to put the key in the locker whoopsie. This second time I'm sure is the same thing yet they are closed for the 4th of July weekend. You would think that the employee would be on their Ps and Qs so issues like this don't arise over the weekend but once again... the lack of being accountable has left me waiting for my long awaited mail.
