The escargot was fantastic, steak and lobster to die for. My new favorite place to eat in Franklin Square.

The Franklin square school district put on a performance of the little mermaid jr. And the parents wanted to have a cast party for the kids after the last show.So I went into Carmella’s to see if they would be able to donate. I went in there cause i was friendly with the owner Mike.I soon found out he doesn’t own it anymore and I met the new owner Jerome. And soon as I told him what it was for he said “how many pies do you need for the kids”. Other places were kind and offered a discount on pies and throw a free one in.But this man didn’t want anything so on behalf of all the kids thank you Jerome.I can garuntee your kindness will be rewarded by our community.

Been switching up my local spot, trying to find the next solid slice, but for the life of me, can't find a pizzeria that understands 'well done.' Tried Carmela's, was handed undercooked flop. Asked the young delivery guy with glasses if he could put it back in for a few, and he did it, no problem, cooking them perfectly. Long story short, went back a few more times, with each visit getting more and more raw flop action, trying to give the benefit of the doubt—maybe the Spanish guy doesn't understand what I'm saying. Meanwhile, he's talking perfect English to everyone else. So I tried, till I'm blue in the face—'well done'—but for some reason, every pizza place in town can't seem to get it through that no one wants this undercooked microwaved flop. To the delivery driver with glasses that did me right, props to you; they should give you a raise and take notes.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step - Congratulations, to the new owners and management of Carmela's. L'Appetito Vien Mangiando (people always want more than they already have) is what rolled off my tongue at the conclusion of a beautiful evening surrounded by friends as I was thinking about the Chef's Kiss - Farfalle Antonio. Upon arrival we were greeted in Italian via benvenuto e buona serata, which was warm and welcoming! We started off with a pitcher of Sangria, which was shared amongst 3 and gave us two full glasses each. Others went with beer and a glass of two of red wine. They have a fully stocked bar and a variety of different wines offered to your liking. For antipasto the table ordered to share - Cold Antipasto Plate, Calamari Arrabbiata, Artichoke Oreganata, and Special - Portobello mushroom with mozzarella and red peppers. All were delicious, especially the Portobello. Don't forget to dip your bread in the vinaigrette! Bring on the entrees...Farfalle Antonio and Lobster Adriatica. Chef's kiss goes to Farfalle Antonio. It was very flavorful and don't be afraid to add extra sprinkles of cheese on top via waiter. Your plate will be spotless after you use the bread to wipe up your leftover sauce! This dish is by far the most requested and popular. A must every time you visit or takeout. During our next visit I'd love to try the Branzino because it looked delicious and healthy. You can request it whole or filleted. Always remember, parla come mangi. Literally "Speak the way you eat!" I/we look forward to returning and witnessing the revolution of Carmela's - Cheers!"

Been a Franklin resident for years and we used to go here but stopped because the counter is chaotic to say the least and the customer service is terrible. Had our Girl Scout meeting there tonight and the personal pizza kits that were promised were not there and the staff had no clue we were coming. There was no attempt to rectify the situation. We asked for 2 pies cut into kid slices instead and they could not even get that right. Not knocking the food. It's very good but not worth the hassle.

Walked in and was immediately served. The pizza lady was nice and got the pizza fast. Overall - pizza was a 6.5/10 The crust and sauce was on point, but the cheese was a bit chewy. Could have been better. But overall, was nice. Big restaurant, probably have other stuff too. Pizza was $ 3.25 for a slice. They have a deal too for two pizzas and a drink.

I went on NYE. They had a DJ and talent singing that night. The food was amazingly delicious. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was festive. I felt so welcome. The DJ was none other than DJ Vinny Dice (old skool). The talent was Sergio and Fascination. It truly was a night to remember. I had a fantastic time!!!!

I think Carmela needs to get back in the kitchen! We ordered Risotto which was extremely salty and inedible and a regular pie which was subpar. What a waste of $50 bucks!

Had an organization Christmas dinner here last night. I thought the food was excellent. Started with hot antipasto plates, which were great. They had clams, shrimp, calamari, and eggplant. I really didn't need the meal when I finished with it. Lol and the bread on the table was very good. Then we moved to the pasta, which was very good. I didn't hear any complaints about the main course. I had eggplant rolatini and thought it was some of the best I've had. Desert was lacking. It was a very small piece of Italian cheesecake and it was mediocre at best. So going by the food review should be better than three stars. I'm not even sure I should be giving at three because getting to the food was such a disaster. We arrived an hour and a half before the start of the event, to set up the raffle tables, put the favors around and the centerpieces, and get the room ready. They hadn't done anything. We asked for a certain number of table setting up set up for the raffles it wasn't done. There were no table cloths on the table. We were told afterwards that they don't use table cloths anymore unless you pay extra for them. How can you have a Christmas party with peeling wood tables and no tablecloth? It was only one man working in the room, and it took my friend and I the full time Until the start of the party to get the tables reset. Then we had to start setting up the raffle tables. The man in charge blamed everything on the woman who made the reservation and when she arrived, she blamed everything on him. Since we had a contract, I have to believe that he was the one not completely honest. I might go there for dinner, because the food was very good but I can tell you I would never have another affair there
