I recently made the decision to leave Walgreens for my prescription needs, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, my time at this pharmacy was marked by incompetence, poor service, and a troubling lack of respect for customers.
One of the most frustrating issues was their communication—or rather, the lack of it. Despite numerous attempts to reach them by phone regarding my prescriptions, my calls often went unanswered. When problems arose with my prescriptions, I was left in the dark, with no one reaching out to inform me of the issues. This was compounded by the fact that in-store and drive-thru customers frequently seemed to be ignored, a glaring oversight that left many of us feeling undervalued.
On several occasions, I reported unsafe practices to their corporate office, particularly concerning urgent prescriptions that were never filled. It was deeply concerning that neither I nor my family was notified about these critical issues.
It’s worth noting that Walgreens has a sign on their drive-thru window that states, “Please do not honk or yell. The person you are speaking to is someone’s family.” While I understand the sentiment, it’s essential to remember that their customers are also someone’s family, often in need of urgent care.
In stark contrast, I recently switched to a locally-owned pharmacy, and the differences are night and day. Their sign proudly states, “Come on in! You’re family!” and that’s precisely how they treat their customers—with kindness, respect, and genuine care.
Walgreens should take a long, hard look at their service and consider how they can improve. My experience has led me to believe that others would be wise to seek their pharmacy needs elsewhere. The level of care and professionalism I’ve found at my new pharmacy has made all the difference, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a better experience.

I’m not leaving this bad review to be self serving, I’m hoping this store or corporate (or both) get it together and I’m referring to the look and upkeep inside and out. I come here randomly a few times a year (spent the first 30 years of my life here and my parents still live here), so it’s not like I’ve come once and it was a bad day.
EVERY time I come it’s dirty outside (trash in the lot and the entrance), and disorganized and a mess inside. In the aisles and behind the front counter.
You’re serving the public in a nice neighborhood on a major roadway. Please get it together and stop “dirtying up the neighborhood”, and by the way, CVS across the street, same exact situation. In fact I’m copying and pasting this review. Please clean up your operation and HAVE SOME PRIDE.

I bought three items and it took me almost half an hour to finish paying. Not only that I noticed I got charged twice for 1 item, so my husband has to go back for to get back the credit , again this time it took him almost 15 minutes to get back the money. I think in a busy day , there shd be more staff to help the cashier

More recently I have been to this store a few times. Might I say the two female workers who during the day are wonderful ( African American male dressed). As well as the two indian females who worked the other night they treat me well every time I am in the store. They are very helpful and they don’t judge or watch you while you’re shopping. They made me feel so good especially the ones worked last night man they were too great !! They are doing this company justice. I have been to hundreds of Walgreens and everyone is either rude racist or they profile you, but NOT THIS ONE !!!

Management has to do something about the pharmacy customer service and processing times also in store cashiers - there has to be more cashiers in busy days, we used to live in Westbury and the one on old country rd had and outstanding service in all areas. You guys need to do better ant servicing and have a more competent staff especially in the pharmacy department .

I arrive at 11am for my 11:15 am appointment. I made an online appointment for COVID-19 testing. The 1st employee at the pharmacy tells me if I can come back around 11:30-11:40. I decided to just wait there. At 11:50 I go up to the counter. This time a different employee who was training fills my paperwork and asks for the payment when it was supposed to be free. I paid the $20 and was told to wait again. At 12:10, the 3rd employee the pharmacy lady with the blonde hair starts to give me excuses as to why the test can't be done after I waited an hour. This place is a joke. I wouldn't recommend going to this pharmacy for anything. A few other elderly people were told their medicine is ready on the phone and they show up It's not ready and they were being told to wait. I ended up just having my money refunded and wasting an hour. Worst experience ever. I did read the other reviews but I didn't have another choice as far as free cost testing & appointment timing but everything turned out completely opposite. Thank you everyone for leaving those reviews. They are legit. Horrible pharmacy experience.

The pharmacy is an absolute disaster. Literally every time I go to get a prescription, Walgreens says the didnt get it even though my doctor confirms the time Walgreens received it electronically. They constantly mess up the insurance information and they generally have poor customer service giving an attitude and not trying to fix the problem. Needless to say, I’m switching immediately.

Amazing service! I needed help finding an eye drop that could relieve my redness & eye itchiness, and one of the pharmacy interns named Aleena helped me find a great one! It helped right away after one use and I was very happy with the purchase. She was very pleasant and helpful, would definitely recommend coming to this Walgreens if you want attentive and efficient service! Thank you Aleena!

Pharmacist Veronica is a Rude, Aaogant, and couldn't be bothered with you. Seems her attitude is if you don't like it, GO ACROSS THE STREET !!! I would imagine most people would if Walgreens didn't have a drive thru. Some very good workers there, but the one bad Apple needs to be moved out to another Walgreens. Why should the customer have to move all their info to another pharmacy.
