TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
We started our process back in 2020 and had some issues on our end, but eventually we worked through them to secure a loan. The loan officer, Andy, seemed very shady from the beginning and refused to lock our rate. Instead, they ran our credit multiple times, resulting in several hard credit checks—which should not have happened in the first place.
When we asked why he wouldn’t lock our interest rate, his explanations never made sense. Whenever we emailed him with concerns, he would respond days later, often after midnight. His tone was condescending, as if he were trying to educate a family member rather than serve a customer who was helping him make money.
My realtor, the seller’s realtor, and Andy have been friends for a long time, and it became clear that some games were being played. When we finally pushed hard to lock the rate, he gave us an offer that appeared to align with market rates in 2021, but several benefits had mysteriously disappeared. When questioned, he couldn’t provide a clear or solid explanation.
After extensive discussions and growing tired of the deceptive tactics, we FIRED Omni Mortgage as our lender literally ONE WEEK before closing and went with another company that had much better procedures in place. We closed on our house within three weeks.
His uncle, Herman, seemed like a decent person and tried to convince us to stay, but by that point, our decision was final.
And Andy—fix your attitude. Customers are the reason you are in business.”
