Book for a sew in and the end result was horrible. I wasted over $300 I just left the salon I am pulling out my hair as we speak. Brought 3 bundles of hair. She only use 2 and now I have a big gap with my leave out. The foundation braid is loose. There is space in between the tracks. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. She is very EXPENSIVE and CAN NOT DO HAIR

IF YOU HAVE ALOPECIA DON'T GO HERE.
I SPENT $400 AND I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. I WON'T TELL THE WHOLE STORY BECAUSE I SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESS BUT AS A SINGLE MOM I DONT HAVE $400 TO THROW AWAY.
I WAS TOLD I CAN COME IN FOR A RE GLUE IN 7 DAYS. I SENT A TEXT. 2 DAYS LATER.... NO RESPONSE.
So digusted... I hope no one goes through this. $350 Fee for a frontal and when I leave and it's not clued down....
Try anyone else but you are taking your chances. BEWARE...
Black business must do better!!!
I will say the assistant is sweet....

Where do I start ? This salon is so beautiful, super clean, well staffed and the owner fully encompasses the meaning of professionalism. I was referred by a friend to have a consultation for microloc extensions. My consultation was with the owner Shawnese and I was very nervous due to my hair being thin, damaged and broken due to years of abuse and chemical relaxers. She made me feel so comfortable explained to me that my hair wasn't in the correct state to get the service and provided me with a haircare regimen to help me get to the point where I could get my microloc extensions. I used her private product brand for 4 months and came in for treatments bi weekly and my hair literally strengthened and became healthy enough for my extensions. I wanted the extensions because I longed for fullness and length. I've been Locd now for about 9 months and although I know I probably stressed her out with the numerous phone calls and questions and concerns she never made me feel like a bother. I love my locs and I love my loctitian. She has given me a new outlook on life and my personal life is thriving. I get stopped daily for how beautiful my hair looks and I refer so many clients to her. If you're looking for a supportive, professional, extraordinary loctitian you'd better run not walk to this salon. She also has 2 junior loctitians that are amazing and able to facilitate my reties when Shawnese is booked or out of town. Her haircare line is top tier and I strictly use her Rosewater, Loc honey oil and Loc butta , these products keep my locs soft, hydrated and healthy.

I went here to get micro loc extensions in March for my birthday. My hair has always been very thin and started to break off. This was the best decision ever. My locs are beautiful and my hair is full. I go in every other month for a retie and the owner Shawnese does my hair. It is always clean and she gives complimentary cocktails and refreshments every weekend. I highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for a good loctitian

Can't say enough about this experience. Ms Mel's salon is a cut above the rest. Ms Mel not only cares about the health of your hair but she is an excellent stylist. Clean modern looking salon, covid compliment and she works quickly no spending all day at the hair salon. Very pleased with my overall experience.
