I am writing to formally report an upsetting incident that occurred at one of your Rainbow locations during a recent visit with my mother. We were both extremely disappointed by the way we were treated by a cashier whose behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and, quite frankly, discriminatory.
The cashier initially gave me the name Stephanie, but I overheard another employee refer to her as Alba. From the moment we approached the register, she displayed no greeting, made no eye contact, and failed to communicate the total of my purchase. She placed the receipt inside the bag without handing it to me, and didn’t even offer me my shopping bag when the transaction was complete. There was no “thank you,” no “have a nice day,” or even basic courtesy.
What was most disturbing was witnessing the clear difference in how she interacted with the customer beside me — a Hispanic woman. She immediately lit up, greeted her in Spanish, smiled, and provided attentive service. The contrast was blatant and hurtful.
As Black women, my mother and I felt completely disrespected and disregarded. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve experienced this kind of treatment at this store, and it speaks to a much larger issue that cannot be ignored.
I am asking that this matter be investigated thoroughly. Employees should be held accountable for how they treat all customers — regardless of race. I will also be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, as I believe no one should feel mistreated while simply shopping for necessities.
We deserve the same respect and decency as any other customer. I hope Rainbow will take this seriously and implement the proper actions to ensure this doesn’t continue happening to others.

I have been a rainbow shopper since I was a teenager and love the clothes and prices. This store is very neat and everyone that's works here is very nice and friendly. The workers are always up and moving around to keep all the clothes organized and neat.

I like this store. It's not as crowded as other ones and it also has cute clothes for kids. Friendly customer service as well :)

I remember that I used to purchase a lot of socks and thongs from this company. I used to get lots of lip gloss here too. Now...I cannot remember seeing much of these items over the last few years. Also, I miss paying $10 or less for a pair of pants, jeans or slacks. I buy them constantly for my work.

If I could give zero stars I would... why is this place still open not one good review everyone has something bad to say not good!! Like they seen cockroaches... eeewwwww.... I shop here for my kids and myself never do I return anything. As they have security tags on ALL items you know no one steals anything from this store! I came to return 2 shirts I got from my daughter with a picture of the receipt item numbers on there as the security tags are off they seen me walk in with them knowing I purchased them!!! They refuse to give me a refund back for the 2 shirts bc the barcode is not on the receipt all the way however all the items I purchased were as you can clearly see the 2 shirts I bought and try to return they still would not refund me... no one ever needs to shop at this store as there customer services sucks and even with a picture of the receipt they will not refund nor exchange.. I will deff from now on take my business else where. As I left I told everyone in the store as well they should not shop there and I will continue to let everyone I know not to shop somewhere where the customer service sucks and wound not return with a receipt!! What kind of business are you!!

Roaches in the store I watched the roach walk from one cash register to the other big fat guy seen it and just acted like he don’t care that’s nasty !!!!!!No help . They give dirty looks claim they can’t use gift cards. I asked for help no one helped me .
