“Doris, Doris, Doris. This woman is so unbelievably talented, passionate, and competent, that she converted this non-lover of flowers into a person who preserved her bouquet to be able to cherish it forever. I was the ultimate skeptic of real flowers, mainly skeptic of cost and practicality. From the beginning of my consultation, Doris made it clear that she would customize all florals for my wedding in every shape and way possible. She took an extended amount of time to ensure and convince me that I would be very happy with my result. Needless to say, I was. Doris took the time during my consultation to make recommendations down to pairing my bouquet style and shape with the neckline of my gown. She took the time and her many years of experience to ensure me that she would be making something truly beautiful and complementary to my venue and my dress. Doris was open to any feedback, although I had none other than ooos and ahhhs.
Doris is unique, not only in how passionate she is for her work but also in her business practice. I had a sample day. It was a day where Doris made a mock bouquet for me and my bridesmaids and mock tablescapes. She explained to me with great enthusiasm that this business practice was adopted many many years ago in an effort to show people exactly what they’re paying for. On sample day, as predicted, I had no notes and made no changes. Sample day gave me the opportunity to take a deep breath and know that I was in very capable hands with Doris.
Come the wedding day, I was sitting in my make up chair and a lovely man arrived with my bouquet. Although I was so overcome with emotion with the rest of the morning I knew I did not have to unwrap my bouquet Because the beauty of it was calling its way out out of the cellophane wrapping. Not only did my photographs come out even more stunning because of the florals, but the arrangements on my tables complemented the space and my exact division I did not even know that I had. Doris the florist is the ultimate vendor for the bride who has no idea what she wants or for the person who knows exactly what they want. She is a true expert in her craft and the ultimate master for the fine details. The day before my wedding, I realize that there was another wedding at my venue earlier in the morning and I had a moment of panic. I called Doris, and she assured me that she already calledand arranged the fine details.

“We had an incredible experience with Verbena. Jen and Marlene are absolute pros and guided us every step of the way. As a couple who isn’t particularly knowledgeable about flowers, Jen and Marlene did a great job of explaining different options we could choose from and used the color scheme for our wedding to put together stunning centerpieces, bouquets, and an arch for the alter. They also were able to integrate cuff links into a boutonniere to honor a loved one who passed before the wedding, which was touching and greatly appreciated. They had everything set up at the venue before we got there, and when we walked in with the wedding party everyone’s jaws hit the floor by how breathtaking the flowers looked for the ceremony and reception areas.
