I had my bridal party’s hair and makeup done here and it was an amazing experience. Everything was so efficient and we were done ahead of schedule. Reasonable prices and very easy to work with. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Loved the coffee and snacks too. Wish I lived closer because I’d be back in a heartbeat.

I’ve been going to this salon for eight years . Ginny and her staff are talented and fun ! I’ve never been disappointed in my cut or color . They are always on time and the atmosphere is relaxed yet professional. Plus the salon is very pretty!

I moved to the area from Long Island in February. I have curly hair and am always scared when going to a salon, not many places know how to cut and style curly hair. Valentina has been cutting mine and my daughters hair (also curly) for 6 months now and she is AMAZING!!! I trust her with my curly hair. Valentina also does an excellent job on the root touchup and highlights for my hair!!! Im so happy I have found this salon and Valentina!!!The salon is so nice and relaxing, im always asked if I need anything and they are always so accommodating. I highly recommend this salon to all my friends and family

For over 20 years going to Expressions have been an amazing experience. Ginny and her staff have created a warm, inviting environment. And it's like that every time. She not only ensures she does what I ask, she is constantly checking in with everyone in the salon to make sure it's that way for everyone. Somehow she combines ultimate high-end services you would find in NYC with a down-home warmth.

Got my hair done here several times (hair cuts and color). Very good service from the two people I’ve had (Ginny and Valentina) and great people in general. Very open to your vision and the results are always professionally done. Would recommend.

I had my bridal hair/make up done here for myself and 8 others in my wedding party on June 29, 2024, and we were done 1.5 hours LATER than they promised we would be. I lost out on time I already paid for with my photographer and videographer, and got off to a late start for my wedding day. Expressions Salon and Spa made my wedding day more stressful than it had to be, unfortunately. I do not recommend. They also lied to us about being the only customers in the salon, and did NOT do everything they could to speed us along. Do not choose them for such an important day.
They originally assured us we would start at 9 am and be done by 12 pm. A week prior, they called me to confirm everything. I asked about making sure we’d be done by 12:00 so we could be back for photos. They said we would be done by 11:00 am since they had so many artists working on us. Perfect! So I had my photographer and videographer come an hour earlier than originally planned. The owner, Ginny, also told us over email that we would be the only customers in the salon, aside from possibly a massage customer. However, the ONE make up artist had some other appointment that morning and did not even start on us until 9:30 am. She had 9 women to do make up on, including the bride! At the end of the morning, all hair was done but the MUA still had 3 girls to get done! I have no idea how she thought she could do 9 women’s make up in 1.5 hours. Our whole party did not finish until after 12:30, over 1.5 hours LATER than they said we’d be done.
We were not the only ones in the salon: plenty of people getting hair cuts and colors. I even heard one customer getting a haircut tell Reid, the other owner: “thanks for squeezing us in”. I was so mad!
We asked if they could please get someone else in there working on make up so we could speed it along, since we were already late. They said no one else could do that. However, Valentina did my bridal make up trial when the original make up artist was out sick. I’m not sure why she couldn’t start on make up to speed it up. She told me at my trial that all stylists can do hair and make up, but that is not how it went on my wedding day.
We asked them for a refund of my deposit since they made us late and we missed out on time we already paid for with our photographer and videographer. They gave us back 30% of my deposit ($60), but that was just to shut us up and make us go away because they said in an email on Monday that they will be charging my card for the full amount of my services, and would only apply $140 of my $200 deposit to my final bill since I already received $60 cash at the salon (meaning I did NOT get any sort of refund).
Expressions salon and spa made my wedding morning more rushed and stressful than it had to be, unfortunately. They made us late for photos. I did not feel like we were the priority for them that morning. Do not choose them for such an important day.

I have been coming to this salon for 4 years and I can say hands down that my hair is done exactly the way I want it, I receive compliments all the time on how nice it looks. I love Ginny and Reid. I look forward to my appointment which is every 3 to 4 weeks and I feel comfortable and relaxed as you should when you are getting your hair done. They are kind and professional. They make you feel special!!

We were a group of 9 that came here to get bridal hair and makeup done for my sisters wedding and unfortunately we had a disappointing experience with our service.
The makeup artist arrived late which was frustrating on its own because 9 people needed makeup done, but it was compounded by the fact that the salon was busy with other customers when they told the bride we would be the only ones in the salon! This poor management meant that we ended up running late for the rest of our planned day and missed out on time with the photographer for the getting ready pictures back at the venue.
I expected a much smoother experience, especially on such an important day. We tried to get some sort of compensation back because my sister missed out on time with the photographer and videographer that she already paid for. They did next to nothing to make the situation right for us. They couldn’t even get another person to start working on our makeup while we were all just waiting around.
Overall, the service did not meet my expectations and added unnecessary stress to my sister’s wedding day. I would not recommend.

I had scheduled hair and makeup for my Bridal party and myself. The staff was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. I really appreciated the accommodation for 09:00am to ensure we were ready for photos. The products used smelled fantastic, our hair stayed in place, and the makeup was enough to highlight everyone's natural beauty/hide any acne or trouble spots. If anyone didn't like something (ex. hair pin sticking in the wrong place) we were encouraged to speak up! I strongly recommend coming here if you have an event in the Geneseo (or nearby) area.

It was extremely disappointing! I had requested henna tinting when I called, instead I got brow tinting. I will be looking for a different salon to get them done.
