Great place to workout. The pool and locker rooms are clean. Swimming laps has helped me get back in shape and the weight area has everything you need. Great location in Amherst. Can’t wait for outdoor pool season!

I love their pool and aquatics classes. The pool is big and warm even in the winter. The gym has a wide variety of equipment and usually isn't too busy. The locker rooms have everything you need including showers and hair dryers. Everyone is so nice including the staff. It feels like a family.

Great place for working out. There are many courses for adults and children. There is a nice pool inside, and it is warm in the winter.

I have been a member for a year now, during Covid. The location is conveniently near my house. Since the mask policy has been lifted, I try to go twice a week. The pool is not large, so it can feel crowded when there is a class or swim team practice. Sometimes the lanes are full and I have to wait a little while, but that's no big deal. I'm not able to go on the same day every week. In a way I wish they would bring back the reservation system. Their lifeguards always say hello and goodbye, as do the personal trainers. Last year I had a trainer who was awesome. The people I saw who also had trainers looked happy. Lately on the gym floor I have noticed more machines with "repair" signs on them. (This is happening at every gym, parts are hard to find!) The members I have met are friendly (mainly swimmers). It's a place that I feel comfortable going to.

I highly recommend the JCC when looking for childcare whether you're looking for "daycare" or an afterschool program. The teachers are AMAZING and love "their" children. My children are safe, having fun, making memories, and learning something new every day.My personal trainer, Jodee, is top-notch and truly cares about the health and safety of her clients. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and that's what I NEED and love about her. If you have a goal in mind, contact one of our trainers and they can help you reach your goals! The staff is welcoming and it truly is a diverse community you want to be a part of. You don't have to be Jewish to come here - we welcome everyone! Stop in for a tour and we'll show you around!

The JCC is one of the most diverse places Buffalo has to offer in all aspects! From the staff and fellow members to the programs and facilities offered, singularity is the best word I can use to describe it. With new events and programs coming out constantly, there's always something for everyone here.

My family loves the JCC. They have the best programs in the area for Childcare, Camp and Afterschool. Would also Highly recommend their personal trainers. They work with each individual to find a workout that best suits you.

Overall I like it. It's small and convenient. Front desk friendly.I have only one but huge issue-It's a pool. That was actually the only reason why I participated JCC, but this is a big concern. Every time I'm trying to get in, they have something going on in pool, either morning classes, afternoon classes, evening classes, private lessons and ect. Which is very nice, I just don't understand why my kids and I can't use pool??? Why all pool have to be occupied? Why they can't leave one spot for other people? I'm coming when I can! Sorry I'm not free, I'm working and have a family, so I'm coming when I have time and I want be able come alone or with kids and enjoy pool! For which I'm paying. I hope you can manage this huge problem. Thank you.

Old gym equipment, unfriendly staff, and always finding new ways to nickel and dime members. Would highly recommend working out at a different gym.

I was going to attend this place for the swimming class, but I was informed that the majority of the participants are not friendly to African Americans. Worse than that, the instructor does not greet African Americans, or engage in conversation like she does with Caucasians/ Europeans/ White (I’m not sure what they like to be called). She also made a smart remark I was told, when it was raining and the person chose to get out of the pool.Prior to Covid-19, I attended the YMCA and when we had the above participants as well as any other ethnicity come join us, we were inviting, welcoming, and made them feel like they belonged. Needless to say, based on that report from the only African American at this center, they are the total opposite at this center and me and my friends will not come, no worries.
