Welcome to Rite Aid chapter 11 version. This location has become an infamous Rite Aid “zombie” store. ~ 20% of normal stock due to the very late bankruptcy exit by Rite Aid.
Suppliers won’t sell to Rite Aid because they can see this store is on the chopping block and will inevitably close and they don’t want to get pennies on the dollar when the store goes under.
Lots of culprits here but it began with the inept senior management at Rite Aid.
I read about all of this nonsense and left Rite Aid in August 2024 and went to a local family RX. If you haven’t already done so, locate a new RX before this store locks the doors.

I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I've been coming here for over 15 years, but noticed a definite degrade in the pharmacy (and the store as well - when will they ever restock ANYTHING???) over the past 2 years. A few of the female pharmacists are polite but most of the male pharmacists are beyond rude. I actually had one hang up on me when I was calling to inquire about my prescription which hadn't been refilled for nearly 2 weeks. When I called back because I was desperate to have them refill my badly needed prescription, I was told that the medicine wasn't being manufactured by the same company so they would have to order it from a different manufacturer. When I asked why I hadn't been informed of this weeks ago so I could have gotten the medicine somewhere else (and why it hadn't already been ordered from someone else when they found they couldn't get it), I was told they don't call customers to help them when there's a problem (and was told it very rudely). Sad - they used to always call if there was a problem with a prescription. How else would you know??? Anyway, so obviously I would never found out I couldn't get my medicine unless I had called after waiting nearly 2 weeks. And apparently all it would have taken was for them to key in the new code for the new manufacturer's number. But they didn't do that either. The sad thing is, this isn't the first time I've waited a week or more to have a script refilled - every month my script is at least a week late; consequently my husband always advised me to switch to his pharmacy (he has always refused to use Rite Aid). But I remained loyal to Rite Aid and continued to go there, despite having friends tell me they had stopped going there because of similar problems that I experienced. Not sure if it has anything to do with the bankruptcy Rite Aid has gone through, but they just don't seem to have been able to keep any good help there and have hired bottom-barrel pharmacists. I'm switching to a new pharmacy today.
Edited to add: Just switched to a new pharmacy, who was able to fill my script IMMEDIATELY. Shocking! A professional and efficient pharmacy!!!!!!! so unlike Rite Aid. holy moly. I also wanted to say that the pharmacist manager at Rite Aid helped with the switch - he was VERY professional and polite (and helpful). So I can't cast him in with the rude young male pharmacist that hung up on me and was rude. It's too bad he doesn't fire some of the rude ones but I think with the lack of pharmacists they just have to keep the bad ones. And the good ones go work somewhere else eventually.

Horrible service! They never call me to let me know when my prescription is ready I had to call them after 48 hours. When I called they said they needed to update my insurance that’s why they didn’t call. I didn’t why it’s so hard for them to dial the customers number to ask them for the information. The same thing happened with my kids. Time to go back to Walgreens! ??

I would give zero stars if possible.Stopped in on a Thursday to pick up a prescription. I was told that the prescription would be available on Friday (needed it by Sunday).Stopped in Friday to get the prescription - pharmacist said they couldn't bill it - said they needed "authorization" (which was already done by our physician). Also - they only had 1 of the 2 medications that they said would be there on Friday - other one wasn't coming til Monday (Remember I need it by SUNDAY and they said it would be there Friday).Went home and called my pharmacy benefits help line - they said the pharmacist needed to call and get an override number, and that it was definitely covered in my insurance plan.Drove back to pharmacy to tell them - they said by that time it was past business hours but "ASSURED" me it could be done when they opened Saturday.Came back Saturday - same scenario - but now they told me the "help line" wasn't open on Saturdays! Also - the 2nd medication that they said would be there Friday - they told me IT WAS NEVER EVEN ORDERED!!!If they had told me that on my initial visit - I would’ve gone to another pharmacy.I spent at least 3 hours at pharmacy with this - no medication to show for it.So disheartening.

It was a great experience to go into the Rite Aid store located on Millersport. The employee who greeted me was attentive, provided great customer service. The store environment was clean and well organized with aisles and lighting.

I don’t know if they are short staffed all the time or what, but I went in there yesterday afternoon to buy one bag of ice THATS IT, nice quick easy cash out …… and the women at the cash register was absolutely rude and miserable and inpatient, she asked me if I wanted to round to the nearest dollar for charity so I said yes, but my fat hands hit the wrong button on accident (my bad) I hit the blue button instead of the green button by accident to round my dollar up to a charity and it was like her entire world came crashing down on her because she had to reverse that in the computer for me which took her about a half a second to do, and she made a comment to me saying “well i explained that to you about the different buttons now didn’t I”SERIOUSLY LADY???? i have never seen or dealt with a more rude store worker in my life for what was supposed to be a quick easy 2 second cash out… management needs to oversee some of these workers better.

Absolutely horrible experience every time with picking up prescriptions. I don't blame the staff behind the counter. Service has always been horrible or poor at best, can't blame that on covid. They are always short staffed, you either have to wait or come back. I blame management! They have a cashier sitting up front doing nothing, the store manager sitting up in the corner office doing nothing. Why can't the store manager go back and cash in the pharmacy? That would help, or just staff the pharmacy properly. Please give your pharmacy employees the tools to do a great job, I can see the frustrations in their faces.
